Tried very hard to enjoy the game and see it through. A mile wide but and inch deep is the perfect analogy for this experiment. Not worth the $60 price tag.

I do agree with your "mile wide but and inch deep" comment, but for a game where content is procedurally generated, I think its par for the course. Its the same with Elite Dangerous to a large extent.

I think your main problem is trying to "see it through". This game doesn't have a "single player campaign" as such. There are vague goals of getting to the center of the galaxy and such, but to be honest its more about enjoying the experience.

And 42 hours isn't bad for a game that costs £40....
