This game is exceptionally frustrating to love and play.

On one hand, it is one of the most refreshing MMO experiences to come back to time and time again. I've met some of the most wonderful people on it, and working together to form something every world reset is such a fantastic experience. The game operates in such a way that really plays on not being solo, however it *can* be done. Very rewarding, albeit grindy, gameplay that allows for goals to be set and reached. The mix of what feels like Runescape and Rust comes out to something that I personally greatly enjoy.

On the other, holy hell do you have some of the most frustrating gameplay decisions out there. This is a full PVP permadeath game, where at any time you can lose the stat investments of your character, or your base being raided and looted for everything not nailed down. I personally enjoy this, but it is a major turnoff for many people and at some point a complete game ender when you die due to how the system works. The overall grind and extreme schizophrenic behavior by some players also comes to mind when bringing up negatives. The devs will go radio silent for extended periods, so prepare for that.

Haven is a *very* rough gem of a game. The negative reviews you will see are very accurate and correct. I'm giving it a positive review as despite all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game has, there still is something in here that draws many back, and I'd like to see it continue on and hopefully get some new players. Give it a try.

Runs well enough for me on a 5070ti and 5700x3D, Disgusted with the inclusion of Denuvo, price and general optimization, but sadly is to be expected in the modern day, especially with the messiness of UE5. I was "fortunate" enough to this game included with my 5070ti, otherwise I wouldn't have touched this one for quite a bit.

As for the game itself, it has been *very* enjoyable in the time I've had with it so far. Best way I've had it described is the tone/humor is more closer to Borderlands 1, has the gameplay and mechanics of 2, and the gunplay and movement of 3. So far it has exceeded my expectations in numerous ways, and I am excited to see where the game goes, and how my mind might change over my playthrough and future updates/DLC.

Utterly fantastic game. Following this into 1.0 over the past year or so has been a treat. Well worth every penny, and I'm excited to continue to see where this game goes.

Favorite multiplayer game of all time, doesn't get better than this

It's fantastic.

With about 15ish hours so far, my quick thoughts overall is how this is an absolutely fantastic remake. Stays true to the original game while cleaning up, updating, and adding features to the base game. Runs great, on my 3060ti I've experienced a solid frame rate with zero stutters, drops, or weird issues. The game sounds also fantastic. From the little beeps and boops, gunshots, clangs, voice lines of enemies, and audio logs, the audio sounds great and crisp. Soundtrack is atmospheric, and when it gets going it sounds incredible. The amount of detail each level is amazing, tons of little things to see and find everywhere. Nightdive has done an incredible job remaking the original, keeping it true to itself, and giving us an absolutely amazing experience. Absolutely solid recommendation, can't recommend enough. Wish all remakes could be done with this much care and attention.
