Hard pass for now

The game just isn't it at the moment. I've played basically all of the asymmetrical horror games and Killer Klowns seems to be the worst of the bunch so far. It appears to have some of the worst balancing of all the asym horror games that I've played. It usually takes at least a couple of weeks for survivors/victims to start bullying the killers in these games, however, the Klowns are getting bullied right on the gate. The survivors can basically take the role of the killers and hunt down the Klowns in a group if they group up and choose to do so. I've experienced and seen the survivors hunting down the Klowns in groups on multiple different occasions. Once these asym games become killer bullying simulators they are always miserable to play for both sides and this game is presenting with that right out of the gate. Klown gameplay in general just isn’t very engaging if I am being honest. You are way too slow and don’t get nearly enough stamina. The humans however get endless amounts of items to reset their stamina meter so Klown gameplay basically becomes this endless cat-and-mouse game. Fights are basically decided on the victim’s terms. If you end up catching up to a human it’s because they allowed you to because they want to try and fight you.

Killer Klowns also doesn't allow you to choose which role you want to play. So if you want to be a killer only player that simply isn't in the cards.I am not a fan of this and this is a massive mistake in my opinion. People will just lobby dodge if they don't get the role they desire to play. I don't understand how this was overlooked as a problem. I've already seen multiple people leaving lobbies instantly and I presume it is because they didn't get the role they want. Just allow me to choose which role I want to play. It works just fine in both Dead by Daylight and Texas Chainsaw

Also, the game is just overpriced for the amount of polish it has. At least with Texas Chainsaw or Evil Dead, which were two asym horror games that also charged $40 right out the gate, they appeared to have high production value and polish to help warrant the cost of $40 to some degree. Killer Klowns on the other hand just looks very indy and cheap. There are endless amounts of wonky-looking and bugged animations. And if people managed to find Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw that were much more polished out the gate overpriced, things certainly aren't going to bode well for Killer Klowns in that department.

The game isn't the worst thing in the world by any means. It just doesn't seem to be worth the asking price of $40. Plenty of balancing needs to be done before I consider playing this game again. This is one of those wait and see types of games. Wait for a sale and see if they improve the balance later down the road.

I'll be requesting a refund.
