I wtched trailers before PS4 release and they made me expect more DMC-like action, so... Wat's wrong that I did? And I did pre-order it before the PS4 release and indeed did not bother reviewing the new videos after it, becuase why would I? Is it not better to actually try the game yourself?
Good story (or at least a good way to present a so-so story) is usually seen even within few minutes of a game. It's called a "hook". Read books on how to write books, they explain that: your beginning needs to hook the reader what follows is used to reel him in. Within 1.3 I was not hooked. A good example can be Rise of Tomb Raider: while it's story is far from the best in the world, but the way it is presented and the way it binds with actual gameplay - they hook you and hook you good.

Isn't that your fault for expecting a different game? It came out on ps4 like a week ago... Plenty of research could have been done on your end. Seems like a silly complaint. I'm notdefending the game, I'm saying you're nitpicking the game for flaws that are all on you for wanting a different game lol. Also I can't agree more. 1.3 hours in and you're complaining about the story. Maybe finish it first. Complains about 100 page book 10 pages in. rofl.
