This game is like one one of those games where it isn't beginner-friendly, especially in the PVP department(As far as I could tell.) Now don't get me wrong, it's a good game with a lot of potential, it's just that it's very disheartening to know and see that you're playing your first few games with high-ranking players and I usually don't have a problem with this because it's satasfying to debunk someone that has spent more time/money on than the game than you and it's even more satasfying if you're outright dominating them(Rage and accusations are a bonus.) But it's not the case as those high-ranking players have Better Gear than you, effectively putting the balance between Skill and Gear more into Gear's favor. Heck in one of the games I was in, two players were talking to each other and one of them brought up the recent players that joined(Me and some other bloke.) and talked about the new players or "low ranks" as they called it and also said that we are easy kills. Now I thought that it was just trash talk until I realized that one of the players that was talking was on my team and most new players don't want their own team talking bad about them.

Now here are some suggestions to help early game players get used to the game before tossing them into the chaos that is being "Everyone is Stronger Than You." Follow them if you wish.

  • Make it so that you do gain experence for playing against AI bots up until a certain level, then maybe it halves up until a certain level as well, until you reach a set level to where you're not allowed to obtain EXP from bots anymore.

  • Have it so that at early levels, a promotion could give you a useful Item or two, like a new gun or gear. Something to replace the used gear that they give you.(Used, really? What are we, cannon fodder?)

  • Have it so that new players can have a better insight on how the game works, without wandering around aimlessly.

  • Have a few rooms be beginner friendly and/or beginner only.(And what I mean by "beginner friendly" is that have it so that you could only use low-tier gear or just the starting gear in said room.)

And before you say "Git gud, skrub."(Get good, scrub.) Note that this game is more focused on what gear you have over overall skill, which means that it's doesn't matter how good you are, you would most of the time be outplayed by the better equiped.

Note: This review is in a WIP state until I play more of the game, all the while I will be changing the review accordingly and may even change it into something that I could recommend.

Started the game, didn't get the achievement, played for a bit, fell into a void and beat the demo with little effort. For the entire duration I was more laughing by how the enemies were just derping around and how the physics are then the game itself, including finally noticing how skimpy the clothes/armor on the character are((Noticed this around the end of the demo.)

In the end, I didn't have a single clue on what I was doing.

Now where the hell is my achievement?!

A free game is still free and I'll still pllay it because of such, but darn it Nexon. Is there anything that can quench your lust for cash?

Glad to see folks still play this game instead to just play it just for the knife, right? Right?

What happened, when did this game go under? This game was a gem back when it was called Paradise Paintball 3D and even the early days of UberStrike, now it's pretty much the same as most other P2W games out on steam.

I still remember the evolution of the character models and the game itself a bit as it went from chibi(?) robots with a gun mounted on one of the shoulders and power ups scattered around the map, to chibi characters( I think it was only A male character, but there might have been a female character at one point.) with the same powerups, to more humanized shaped characters and a good turning point for Paradise Paintball in general as it featured a shop of sorts(It was small.) along with spring grenades(I love those things.) and maybe a female character, I'm not sure.

Then Team Cmune decided to change the image of game and began it's plunge toward the inevetable, they decided to go for a more modern look on gameplay and ditching everything that was paintball. In the beginning it was ok, the guns now used bullets instead of paintballs and my childhood deflated a bit( Wait, I think in the Early Early days of UberStrike, the guns still used paint I'm not sure.) The game started to focus a bit more around skill then fun, one of the examples are the pistols and their increased damage to headshots( And nutshots har har -_-.) along with an extended arsenol of weapons, but they got rid of the power ups scattered around the maps, except the basic ones i.e.
health, armor, ammo ect...(RIP orb in the middle of the two rock pillars in paradise island(?) that could make a character fly for a limited ammount of time.)

Fast Forward a few years and they already dug their own grave, multiple times.

Rest In Peace UberStrike, you will not be missed( Except you Paradise Paintball, you will always be missed.)

The game is fun with it's overall mecanics and gameplay, with a twist on the MOBA genre and a break on other MOBA games(DOTA, LOL, ECT...) and the all too serious, comepletly rage on you or your teamates for one non-game changing mistake teamates. (Literatly it's a rage fest filled with those who the follow the rank-and-file of the game or in better terms "The Meta" and and assualt all who don't follow it, reminds me of a cult in many terms than one.) This is a fun, fast paced game that takes a bit more skill than you think since you ACTIVELY control your character, not a point and click simulator. Overall, this game is on the lighter side of things and even though it has a smaller roster than other MOBA games and some bugs(I'm looking at you treasure ball system, even though it's not a bad bug.) It's an above average game. I recommend this to anyone who want a twist from the norm(There should be more of there type of games.) and to just relax from the serious of it all. 7/10

P.S: And becides, I really doubt there's 603 players online and only around 10 maybe 20 players in the global chat.
