Siege is one of those games that you develop a love/hate-to-love relationship with. In terms of gameplay, the action is solid; the guns all feel meaty enough to do some damage; and the destructable environment lends itself to some great strategies if your aim isn't the best. As long as you don't go full potato, Siege will reward you if you have good game sense, sightlines and creativity.

What it needs to work on however, could be a dealbreaker. The netcode can leave you with bald patches sometimes, hitreg can be utter poppycock at times, the meta is too heavily reliant on 3-speed rushers with ACOGs on attack and 1000+rpm defenders, the toxic elements of the community can take a long walk off a short pier, the chat filter that determines what isn't allowed and who should be banned needs to be written by someone other than Hi-Rez (I mean, getting banned for saying spicy? Rly goobi?) and the monetisation of this game is a joke- particularly in regards to how much renown you can earn vs. how much everything costs in the store.

Overall, I'd say save up over time and get one of the more expensive editions during a sale (it reduces the grind time in the long run) if you want to get it. And don't buy the Starter Edition for the love of all things sweet and buttery. Just don't.
