After having been out for quite a while this game is still a buggy mess with things not working that WERE WORKING in the previous title of this series. The base game is also incomplete without expensive expansion packs that alter the basic mechanics (something firaxis has done previously as well). Many of the game mechanics that allowed for skillfull play in the earlier games have been altered or removed which has lead to an even more dull first impression of the title (for example unit movement).
