This is the only game I have ever played that I have bothered to write a review for, because this is the most flawless game I have ever played; it feels crafted to perfection.

Some advice I can't overstate:

1) Play with music. Don't bother with this game if you are going to mute it and put hard bass on.

2) Don't look things up; you don't need to figure everything out to finish the game. If you get stuck, go search somewhere else. Fully out of ideas and really frustrated? Put the game down for a few days. You can only experience realizing the solution once.

Do. Not. Look. Up. Anything.

3) Don't skip the DLC, and when you play it, use a complete save from the base game so your ship's log has all the information.

4) The base game has text that needs to be read to progress; pretty much all the text you come across (except like 10 sentences) has useful information, although it can get redundant at times.
In my playthrough, I started to ignore text because I kept coming across the same information and relied on the ship's log summary instead. I didn't realize how much information I missed until after watching some playthroughs online. You can get by using the ships log summary, but you'll be a a step behind people who have actually read it and have a greater understanding.
(The DLC has no reading at all, and the way it disseminates knowledge got me excited every time I came across it.)



If I can convince you to play this game through this review, and if you end up experiencing what I experienced? It will have been the best gift I have ever given.
