6 hrs later, I have no reason to continue playing..

Following is the list of "cons" in this game. Pros are very few and if the developer improves upon these things, the game will be worth spending more time in, for me at least.

Non-Existent Story
You arrive on an island as an "adventurer".

That's it. That's the story.

After 6 hrs in, the game STILL hasn't bothered trying to explain things further or introduce more story elements. In-fact, after the opening few lines from a random NPC, the story just stops progressing (if it even started, is questionable).

NPC's
If this game replaced all NPC sprites with rocks, it wouldn't change a thing. They stand around at the same spot.. forever. They don't move, they don't work.. might as well be a ghost town. This game somehow manages to make a town so lifeless while having living people around.

Don't get me started on them having nothing else to say other than the opening introduction text they throw at you, the first time you click on them.

Mining
You mine in this game.

No-no.. you REALLY mine in this game.

Of the 6 hours I spent in this game so far, I bet 5 hrs were just me hitting walls and rocks. I've seen autopsies more entertaining than the gameplay loop in this game. You need to have a really sad/boring life, if this keeps you entertained, and I'm assuming most people don't.

Every "dungeon" (using that word loosely) is basically you fighting enemies >> destroying walls/boulders >> occasionally finding hidden holes in the ground which lead to >> more boulders to hit (very exciting).

Also, all enemies in the dungeon automagically know where you are. They'll actually maneuver long, perilous distances to come hit you in the face. In-fact, enemies can see even THROUGH the walls. When they can't reach you, they'll just stand there attacking walls, unable to break through, but attacking them non-stop.

What is more amazing is how enemies are actually trapped INSIDE the walls. When you destroy a wall, it randomly spawns large trolls to rats. Even places they spawn from actually spawn INSIDE the walls. Attention to detail, right there.

Tool-tips/Help/Quests
Needs better tool-tips and in-game help. I have no idea what "Titles" are for. I bought one, the cheapest and it says something like "allows me to construct buildings".. where? Game doesn't have any in-game quests, so you can't even read about what's going on or why you're there.. which makes me feel like I'm wasting time doing nothing but hitting rocks and trees, so far.

Why is there a "highlight" key for your home? I got a pet frog, but what's the point of having a pet (frog especially) when I can just cook it? It gave me no other bonus after-all. Are there other pets? Game gives no hints about them.

Construction
You can construct stuff.. I constructed a crafting bench (or something) and put it inside the free house you get in the beginning. But now I can't move that bench at all, it's set there. I can't even destroy it to place it somewhere else (moving them would be preferred). But then again, WHY should I construct forges and benches when they are already available for free use in the village? What's the point? Do they give you a better return? Game explains nothing,

Combat/Sprint
Combat is pretty simple. You attack, move around and dodge projectiles. It's easy but then there's "dodge" or "dash".. which is utterly pointless. I recommend replacing it entirely with "sprint". Only thing I'm using it for is to travel around fast.. and it looks incredibly stupid. In combat it's useless since enemies throw projectiles at regular, short intervals. The moment you dodge, they are already on to you. Even on foot they can chase you from one dodge point to another. I've had more success dodging them by just attacking > moving away > attacking, instead of using the dash.

This game needs a sprint option so you can travel around faster. Dashing around during combat is useless.

User Interface
Why do you have to press Escape to close all open dialogs? No X button to close windows in shops. Why do the buttons in the storage chest dialog have no tool-tips? I had to press them and see what they did.

No font size option. Font is terrible. It's one of those crappy pixel fonts that shouldn't exist, but are used by so many devs to annoy people. To make it worse, no option to increase font size so enjoy reading text for ants, especially in the hotkey bar, the numbers are pretty much blending into items and for some reason, there is another slot after item at slot 0.. so I end up getting confused, pressing wrong keys cause text isn't clear.

Also, why do all of the food items say "EAT THIS TO HEAL HP" but the only way to eat seems to be to cook them into a meal/dish? Only thing you can use during combat is the HP potions, not the eatables without turning them into a dish.

IN THE END
Maybe I'll play it further, after the developer actually releases more content for this game. For now, I don't think I can play any more of this.

Wait for a year or two of updates, before buying this on discount.

REVIEW UPDATE (12 Aug, 2021)
Posted this review on 21 Sep, 2020 and went through all of the update logs since then. As expected, developer hasn't bothered working on story/NPC's, at all. Not everyone can write characters, but when it comes to "open world" games like these, it is necessary to have fun or interesting characters. Right now you can tell that the developer started making a clone of Stardew Valley, but is now stuck updating a very uninteresting title for the masses.

Feel free to play the game now and see how many issues were actually fixed or things were improved. The update log feels like a pointless spam to make the game look alive at this point (for sales). Adding more biomes won't save this game.

REVIEW UPDATE (14 Dec, 2021)
This game is dead.

Developer is bored, has moved on. The "updates" were a joke already, and the fact that there has been no changes to the issues I mentioned, means this developer is happy ignoring issues, as long as his game remains on "Very Positive" rating on Steam.

THIS is why you need negative reviews, not just positive review garbage 24/7 on Steam. I've noticed developers don't really care to improve anything, as long as majority keep praising them for creating another generic game in the sea of trash.

Anyway, don't waste your money on this.

REVIEW UPDATE (22 Feb, 2023)
Yup, this game is STILL dead. :P

REVIEW UPDATE (24 Jun, 2024)
Guess what? Still dead. Developer has long moved on to abandoning other boring games he creates.
