Made by a Swedish developer which means the game design is great and the gameplay is good but has occasional moments of jank. It also means that the business model is noticeably Viking, although Helldivers 2's microtransactions are not as oppressive as other notable Swedevs so I will acquiesce a Danelaw.

After the first patch it seems clear that priorities are aimed at making the grind more tedious rather than improving the early game experience or reducing building limitations so you can be as creative as you can in other games in the genre.
