If you're a fan of Choose Your Own Adventure books, this is as close as you're likely to get to the video game version. From the outset of this unique experience it is apparent that nothing is what it seems, and nothing and nobody is to be trusted - not even yourself. The game tells you there is no wrong choice, and each decision will move the plot forward in unpredictable new ways. Seemingly innocuous dialogue choices may alter the outcome in wild new directions, at least... this time.

The story is presented through a series of black and white hand-drawn vignettes that are sparse but effective, giving this twisted fairy-tale a story book feel. Of note is the excellent voice acting, which a game like this absolutely hinges on. The performances are on par with any big studio offerings this year. The music is appropriately moody and sets the tone well, but there doesn't seem to be an overarching theme to it.
