Mechabellum is essentially a rogue-like version of chess with mechs. That's not to downplay any part of this game, because it's fantastic.

Essentially you take turns to use your points to buy mechs for that round which are then retained for future rounds. You earn more points each round to try and outwit your opponent by buying mechs that counter what they're trying to do. It's strategic, it can be frustrating when the tide turns against you plan, but I don't think there are any single mech which cannot be countered.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a SP or MP game that will make them think but there's also enough action to bring popcorn.

I bought this game while it was on sale and despite some reviews saying the tutorial wasn't helpful I hopped straight into a free game and figured things out within the hour. Build stations/stops, setup a line connecting them, build vehicles for that line and assign them. That's how easy it is.

Across the generated map are towns/cities and industries which link together, so the trees from a lumber mill need to be transported to another site which will transform the logs into usable wood for building, which then can be transported for use or further processing. You get paid for each trip, and generally the longer the chain is the more valuable the final product is. Or you can focus on passengers and build routes between towns/cities.

The gameplay and graphics are good. I enjoy playing and building the connections and a profitable company.

However, it's lacking competition within. Once you start making money there's very little to stop you making more. They need to include other competing companies to make that more difficult and generally that's my biggest negative with this game, there's very little jeopardy or struggle. You don't need to think strategically about where you go or what you do next. You can borrow millions and pay it back once setup.

So would I recommend this; to those that want time to build transport links and a profitable company without having to be the fastest clicker or race against time this is the game for you. However, if you're an old Transport Tycoon fan that wants the competition against other compmanies you won't find that here, but you will have all the rest around connecting industries, cargo or passengers, etc, etc

It's one of a kind, easy to learn, hard to master, free to play, brilliance. The paid season pass unlocks are purely cosmetic. Have had this on both PC and PS5 since 2015 and yes there's crossplay so I can pickup where I left off on either system.

For brand new players, I'd recommend playing an offline season first and doing some of the training sessions, then feel free to hop online, the matchmaking is very good

Absolutely worth the money. The game is essentially driven by you, choose the missions you want to do to earn money to either upgrade your gear or pay for help to complete your character's overarching goal. Got tired of a character? There are others at the bar on the space station you can switch to any time.

Want to go guns blazing, or use the stealth approach to complete your mission? Totally up to you how you get the job done.

Oh yeah and you can board an enemy ship with just a wrench and go full John Wick

How can people bash this?! It's 0.79 for an iconic car released in 2015, long before Epic were involved.

Great car for a great price.
