This might be one of the best games I've ever played.

This game has and continues to consume my life. I have dreams (nightmares) about layouts and efficiency and wild hogs and spiders. Last night I dreamt I was in a hypertube that somehow looped into itself and I was trapped forever. I accepted my fate and sense of calm washed over me as I zipped past my spaghetti conveyer belts and messy piping systems, over and over for eternity.

Another game where casual players will just constantly get rekt by the eternally online. I wish they would give us normies an option to just play against bots instead of getting harassed by all the unemployed basement dwellers. There's a core group of players (i.e. twitchers) that have had access to this game for quite some time now so they've memorized all the camping spots and what-not.

I guess it's my fault for not watching all the videos out there; I was hoping this would be more like Destiny where I could work together with people to do stuff without the threat and anxiety of dorks and trolls coming after me the whole time.

The artwork and music are fantastic, so that's nice.

It's infuriatingly buggy, but for some reason I can't stop flarkin' playing it.

Steam thinks I've played this for over 15 hours but the truth is I have yet to play because of the ridiculous update system. See, most software/games/sims bought through Steam update through Steam, but oh Microsoft in all their infinite wisdom update after launch. Which would normally be OK, but they are connecting to some sort of potato powered servers. You see, the 15 hours that Steam thinks I played this game have been spent downloading "mandatory updates". Typically a 100gb download takes me 10 to 15 minutes, but alas 15 hours later it's still going!

I enjoy the AC series, with all its grinding and the running around and the stabby stabby, but it's a bit much in this game because fast travel points are fewer and far between. Even besides that though, the game is ruined because the Ubisoft launcher is absolute junk. If you're having issues where it keeps popping up the Windows hard drive change notice, open the launcher first on its own and then launch the game.

The game will crash at the most inopportune times, like before it has auto-saved after you just completed a raid or took out a zealot. In the 60 hours I have in this game, it's crashed about 20 times.

Weird visual bugs even on a RTX 3080 where some NPCs will randomly look like characters from a PS One game.

A nice, humorous intro to using the various functions of your Steam Deck. This mini-game actually lasted longer than I thought it would.

I never thought it'd be so much fun to just walk around for hours and occasionally trip over rocks.
