I'm 22, this game released in 1996.
It's literally older than me and I was first exposed to it when I was likely 5.
I bought this game, played it, and spent too long trying to find socks and didn't find all of them. This is the most wholesome childlike fun I've had in a long time.

The last review I made for this game did not recommend it due to reasons with the game itself in it's current state. But seeing as how I have gone from 30 hours from that review to now with over 56 I am in the position to change my stance on the game.

To put it simply The Forest is a fairly small survival game with very simple crafting system, building system, and over all simple survival mechanics. I know that doesn't sound very interesting since this game is meant to be a hardcore survival experience with dryness, health, and for some games that exclude it, water intake.

But before you think that none of this sounds interesting, what if I told you the last time I played with a friend me and him got a creature we refer to as a "Armsy" to be our personal lumberjack and cut down a dozen trees for us to use in building.
Or what if I told you that me and my friend set up Happy Birthday traps which easily and hilariously caught a couple of Tribes me for us?
Or when the fighting stopped, me and my friend began to talk about many things such as how we are doing, things we are trying to figure out, or rant to each other on somewhat funny but over all irritating things and people?

The game the forest has bugs, glitches, interesting AI, and over all is a very simple survival game. But if you and a friend need a game to play, it is a great Multiplayer survival experience.

If you want a calm relaxing game you can sit back and watch the garden you created absolutely annihilate the undead, this game might be for you.

If you already know what this game is then you should know that EA has indeed got their hands on this IP and let me just let you know, this game is nothing like Garden Warfare and PVZ 2. This game is actually fun.

Early Access Review
This is a game were once you become over powered the game looks at you, says "No" and proceeds to slap you in the face with nearly unstoppable foes which usually result in instant death.
Honestly a full 10/10.

While some or most would say the first Bioshock is the best in the franchise Bioshock 2 has plenty the first one doesn't while also getting ride of some of the more tedious and annoying aspects of the original game, as well making you feel like an unstoppable death machine.

This is the first time I've ever played a game like this and I gotta say I had a blast playing this. The story is straight and too the point, the characters are very likeable and their desings are one of my favorite parts of this game. While the game itself can become repetative a small break with any other game will make you want to come back for more. If you're a fan of steampunk, combat mechanics or in my case "Robots" then this game is right for you!

Team Fortress 2, released in the year 2007 it will be 18 years old come October 10th of this year (2024). It has many problems, a handful of bugs, the code is defined as "Source Spaghetti", and there's a number of issues the game has from the small things like the occasional texture error, to big things such as the bot crisis we are dealing with today.

All that being said, there's one factor I feel not many people are addressing.
The game is Old.

It is not a fresh out of the orange box title many people remember it as. Despite this however, it's not dead yet either, sure some of the player numbers might be bots. But that's not what people should be paying attention too, it's the community.

We are the TF2 Community, we are the reason the game has gone on for so long, from the people who occasionally browse the workshop, to the SFM directors who have created masterpieces inspired from this game. It's a legacy title, and a damn great one at that.
Up on the same pedestal as some of the most well know titles in gaming known. The game is referenced in so much media, everyone at some point has played it, and rarely do people think negatively on it.

Facts are the source code is leaked, hackers and bot makers have all the tools they need to keep finding ways to crowed servers with instant kill bots that only target actual players. As far as Valve hosted casual servers, it's not worth to waste your time in finding a game.

But once again the community is there to show they still care for this game, with community servers, custom servers, modded servers, servers with alternate games modes, and if not your cup of BLU brand Blutarch Coffee (Depending on affiliation) there are loads of servers which are simply on with the casual game modes.

My point is, it's time to start treating TF2 as a older title, and to stop holding it up to the same expectations as newer titles releasing today. Who knows, TF2 may never truly die as long as there is a community to back it up, but even if it did I will still hold onto all the fun and enjoyable carefree memories I had with this game.

We are Team Fortress 2.
