This review has been brought to you by A Curator in the Making. If you’re interested in games made on RPG Maker feel free to check out our curator (we will love it if you follow it too ^^).

This review is closer to neutral than a positive recommendation. This game is a pretty big improvement over Solenars Edge: Rebirth. Most of the issues I had with the aforementioned game (like the map designs) were solved.

The art was also improved. It moved from using the RTP for pretty much everything to custom-made ones, and they look good too. But I have to admit I miss the health bars from Solenars Edge Rebirth.

It’s not problem-free though. For starters, there are a few typos in the game and sometimes the menu’s background disappears.

Also, I’m not a fan of the way the story unfolds. It’s easy to get a bit lost when you switch protagonists after you finish a chapter. Also, I find those side-quests in which you have to use a different team a bit random, as in those characters are just there to be used for a single quest (or just one fight) and then they don’t appear again. They don’t even give you a bit of background info about them or at least tell you why they are there (unless those characters appeared in Rebirth, in which case ignore what I said :X)

Another gripe I have is how counterintuitive the controls are during the battles. I lost count of how many times I accidentally skipped a turn when I wanted to use a spell because I pressed right instead of down.

In short, this is a decent game fans of Solenars Edge will like.

Also the thing with the background is that it doesn't vanish, it's just a very black background with some decal in the bottom right corner. The background rotates through a few different images every time you load it up. The game is also RTP as heck, it's just using a different RPG Maker than Rebirth. But, yeah xD.

That is because it is a mini-game and not really a side quest;

It's called BFC: Operation Undead.

I meant the short one with the three wizards (I can't remember their names right now)

If you mean the Oliver and Penello side quest, well it's from Restoration and a cameo from that game. Other than that I'm not quite sure which side quests actually replace your team besides that. https://store.steampowered.com/app/688380/Restoration/
