( Just a Copy of Review on the Maingame since i also wanted to leave a thumbs up here for the DLC! )

Okay, so this is a redo of my Review from 2020 where I played the Game on Release.

I was one of the few lucky people who were already able to play the Game, mostly without Issues on Release. 

Back then, I already loved the game and strongly recommended it to everybody, even with the Bugs.

Now 4–5 years later the game has improved in almost every aspect, meaning I, of course, still VERY strongly recommend everybody who has not done so yet to pick up the game right now.


With Phantom Liberty out, the 2.0 Patch being there for a while and me having a new Setup allowing me to play the Game on Max Raytracing Settings, I wanted to dive into the game once more.

I picked up a new V and played for like 20h on a different build before deciding I was still too attached to my old and first V and finishing the rest there. 

Now, 115h later, I have done the Mainstory, the DLC Story, every NCPD Scanner, every Sidequest, and have upgraded every Cyberware I have to the max and only have some cars left to collect + hunt for some achievements, for different endings or specific cyberware / build actions. 

This game is easily in my Top 5 games of all time. The music, the atmosphere, the story, the visuals, the voiceacting, the fighting, the general gameplay like driving ... all of it feels really special to me. 


The story gave me some hard emotional times (a sign of it being perfect for me) and I was only able to advance through that with more Cyberpunk by reading some of the amazing Fanfics out there which play after the normal endings, making it possible to continue your headcanon in a satisfying way. 

I still listen to the music of this game on an almost daily level for 4 years straight now. In particular, the more emotional songs in this game just hit differently.

Both the DLC-Story and the Main-Game story pulled me in hard because they are incredibly well written and have some great voice acting. 
My only little complaint here is that the main story is especially quite short if you push it (which I wouldn't recommend).

Also that during the very late stages of the game the combat gets a bit stale because you just oneshot / slice through everything without problems.

The Sidequest and Fixer Jobs are all fun. Each one has its own little story and I loved doing every single one of them.

The NCPD Scanner Quests, on the other hand, are kinda annoying to do towards the end. They are always "kill that, collect that" and, once in a while, those two objectives are split into two places 100m apart. When going for the 100%, this was by far the most unenjoyable part. 

I also think some parts could be improved upon, especially if you like to play in an immersive way. There isn't any option for an immersive need for stuff like food and drinks, even though you get so much of it in the game. Driving in First Person feels almost impossible because the view windows are just horrific and alot of smaller things they could have improved on.

I, for example, adored the Romance Parts of the game (Judy <3) and was quite sad that after their questline your only way to do something with your partner is a repeatable date quest which is enjoyable the first time but, doesn't have any real redo worth. 

The world, on the other hand, feels great. There are alot of people around during day and night, you can come upon alot of little fun interactions, gang fights on the street, the NCPD actually chasing people etc. 

If you like the Cyberpunk world in general, like me, you will also catch yourself just driving around looking at stuff and enjoying the world because it feels amazing.

For fans of series like Edgerunners, you can also find quite a few Easter Eggs. 

Before I keep pushing the length of this, I would give the game a final review of a strong 95/100.
I loved every part of it and only a minimal number of complaints.
