TIMEframe embodies a lot of what I think the video game platform can be for story telling. There's a certain suspense that's apparent when playing it that you'll likely have should you choose to purchase it. This suspense, I feel, could not have been conveyed in any other way than video game: it is too easy to disassociate yourself with it in any other medium.

The song is perfect for the atmosphere and avoids being too intrusive to notice the actual game. It's a soft, ambient song that at times is very quite. You may have noticed, however, that I am saying "song." The soundtrack is one song at about six-and-a-half minutes long. Even at the two extra dollars it is for the pack, I don't think it's particularly worth it, though I think it is a song that someone could genuinely listen to during traveling or trying to get to sleep.

Overall, the pricepoint, as always, depends upon your economic conditions. If you're a broke college student looking for a game that will entertain for a while, this isn't that game. If you're in the workforce and appreciate artistic games, I'd drop the $8.00 for this.

I would like to stress here at the end that I think the ending of the game was a bit superficial. That's not why I recommend this game. The story is decent, albeit fairly straight-forward, I like how the story is told. TIMEframe is a game that is meant to be a game. It couldn't work in another medium, and that's why I feel it should be played. It's a large avenue for storytelling, and I think the usage of this specific medium isn't explored as much as it should be in other games. Hopefully this trend will continue.

This game is very well done. The community has mostly died out, but if you're just finding this game right now, you can still have a great time with it. I certainly did, and I even return to it every once in a while. I have over 100 hours in it and, though I've beaten the full game a few times, I still haven't managed all the achievements. Consider this a glowing recommendation, especially on a sale.

This game can be spoiled easily, much like the Stanely Parable, so avoid videos of it. This, however, is just about where the similarities between the two games end. This is not a funny, nor even a fun game, but that's no the purpose this serves. It seems everyone that is writing a review for this game is saying you should play it if you're a creative person, but I feel the less creative you are, the more appreciation you will get. More appreciation for the work that goes into games, like the art and especially the narritive. It's not about gameplay, it's not about coding, it's about the struggle between an artist and his creations, in which neither side can grab a foothold on the other.

This, I believe, is the type of game that would bring widespread acceptance to our medium: showing that a creator of video games faces the same hurdles as a painter or a singer. It's relatable, it's thought provoking (but not too much), and most importantly gives insite into an artist's throughts, which is all any art is really trying to do. I enjoyed this game, not from a perspective of fun, but rather from the point-of-view going to a museum would give, yet this game shows how it can be done much better when using an interactive platform.

If you're willing to go into a game, not for fun or engagement, but rather for a meta examination of, truly, the entirety of the human endevour, this is your game. Not everyone's cup of tea, obvously, but I'd hardily recommend it to anyone who wants to create or wants to know about creating.
