In my 25 years, I've had time to develop nostalgia for many childhood games. This can cloud and bias my judgements when I try to rank what I believe to be the best video games. This does not apply for Disco Elysium.

In my opinion, this is the most well-written piece of visual media ever created. Very rarely has a video game elicited so many genuine, audible reactions out of me. It is a masterpiece in storytelling, world-building, art direction, and it's a game I'll remember and pine for years from now.
