This may be controversial, because this is less super factual and agreed upon and far more my opinionated reaction, but I think game was really disappointing and overrated. I just got into this series a month or two ago, and I failed to get 112% in the original game for some of these same reasons I will soon list. I liked this game at the start, and thought lace and moss mother were actually pretty good,
and I really did like the music and environment. There are many good things about this game, but for me it just feels it's outweighed by the negatives.

First of all, the health for many of the bosses is just way to over-the-top, even some of the earlier-game bosses take what feels like an eternity in the moment. It honestly feels like some of these bosses would be WAY better if they just had 1/3 of the health, and this would be fixed.

Secondly, there's no way we can't talk about some of the health-related mechanics (double damage when paired with the bullet hell specifically). If you're gonna mix bullet hell with double damage to the point it takes basically half your day's gameplay time to beat a single boss, that's just absurd. For me I just stopped around sister splinter from the sheer amount of RNG in this, which when paired with double damage was just HORRID.

Finally one of my third main concerns is with the bench placement it feels like getting back to your previous place is slower than the progression of a school day, it's insane how far back you can get sent back sometimes from something stupid like a Pond Skipper.


Overall, I feel like some of these errors could easily be fixed with just some simple changes.


Edit: I've gotten to last judge after trying again, and yeah I still won't recommend. The main thing with these bosses is just they're so hard it's to the point where when you finally beat them you don't even feel rewarded, just bored.

Final Pros vs. Cons:

Pros-
-Good environment, music, and general setting.
-Some non-boss sections aren't too bad
-Moss Mother was one of the few good bosses because it didn't seem over-the-top

Way too many glitches and poorly made hitboxes. The objectives/signals are very misleading and I kept getting lost following them.

This was the best entertainment I've ever witnessed in my life. The graphics, the story, the characters, chef's kiss. I love this game and it's only been 5 hours. I would completely recommend this to any new steam players. This game gave me a lifetime's riches. The stellar capitalist trading system is an amazing process, allowing you to get thousands of dollars in a blink of an eye. I used to be a poor young man living in a small rental apartment, now look at me. I am now a multi-millionaire, and it's just because of dedication to this game. I have grown so much, and come so far. Everything that has happened in my life, I know it's this game's doing. If you want an amazing cinematic experience, this game is the one.
