Enhanced version review: I don't know how this was approved ready for launch. I played the original series to death and have it on almost all media I own, physical and digital. This version feels like a half-assed console port. There is no DLAA/DLSS but there is AMD FSR for some godforsaken reason (With FSR enabled + native resolution and sharpness on max it's still blurry and it adds ghosting as well on top to balance out the crap with a little bit of diarrhea) and the game looks worse than the original PC port without the former one. The picture is so noisy and blurry that it's hard to stomach (Looks like a TV static filter) in this day and age (both on FXAA and MLAA), as if someone pissed in my eye. Turning off blur and depth of field only help a little bit while moving but even standing and looking further away is still a lot more blurry and jagged compared to the original.

There's input lag here and there which is really annoying when you're trying to clear a base (car depot) and you're stuck with your hands in a bandit's ass looking for bandages and ammo. They removed bolt/grenade charging for god knows what reason and now both left and right mouse click do a normal throw. How the hell do you ♥♥♥♥ this up so bad? I'm only 35 minutes into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game!!

PS.: I was hyped for this release and I was ready to get all achievements. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Edit 1: There's a bug I've encountered that I have never seen before in the OG ports. I've killed a couple of bandits and they vanished into thin air. Dear GSC, before you snap them out of existence via the infinity gauntlet, please let me loot them first. But jokes aside the only positive thing I can say is that they removed the head bob. That's it. If you want to play these games, just play the original releases with the ZRP, SRP mods (CoP slaps vanilla, no need for modding), but if you want a bit more modernized gameplay but as close to vanilla as possible use the Autumn Aurora or Gunslinger mods. Stay away from this hot pile of garbage. (I say this as a die hard Stalker fan).

Edit 2: Probably my last edit cause I ain't playing this hot piece of ass no more. It makes my stomach churn. The audio is completely messed up and footsteps are barely audible if they are audible. I didn't include the change of default keybinds at first, cause you can change it so it's whatever, but changing the running from X to shift and then have to do the 2 level crouch while pressing CTRL + X is diabolical. How am I supposed to lean out pressing all those buttons so far away while also trying to move out of cover? Why is this the default keybind?

There is a screenshot going around in the Stalker subreddit of a community manager who's calling the negative reviewers "russian bots" asking content creators to put a positive word in. First of all, I ain't russian, not even a little bit. Second of all, how dare you shift the blame and not even adressing any of the issues that are not even politic related? Bruh, you can't walk around begging for positive reviews of a half-assed port. GSC turning to the dark side wasn't on my 2025 bingo card but here we are. Btw, after a bit of digging people found out that a polish company called mataboo was also hands on developing the LoTZ slop. Seems familiar... Should have called it GTA Trilogy DE 2.0 perhaps.

For you zealous corporate shills: the game was released 18 years ago and it was fixed over time. This game is supposed to be the same game BUT better, however they removed stuff and made it look a lot worse. (I'm talking about Gameplay features, not the political ♥♥♥♥. I don't care about that.)

Removing stuff takes as much time as adding, but maybe even longer since things tend to break once you remove features. Eating slop is what gonna destroy gaming. Stand up for yourselves, have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ backbone.
