Super Mario : Demonic Slaughter Edition

I've never played a strategy game this addictive. The core game was good, but the interface was hard to grasp. A few patches in, it's still a hugely complex game but the basic controls are simple and understandable.

Fantastic game, great graphics. Cool story that doesn't quite end up delivering, but still drives the gameplay nicely. Great combat and stealth gameplay.

I've put more hours into this game than pretty much anything else I've played this year, because romping around the island is just plain fun. The sense of exploration is really good, and with wild animals waiting all over the place to gnaw your face off, you never feel truly safe.

Give it a spin, it's worth it.
