"Dood, it's DOOM!" If that's not enough to interest you then here is a bit more. . .

DOOM (2016) is 3 games in 1! First is Singleplayer Campaign Mode. This is the main reason I bought the game and it is without question fun and challenging! There are the classic secrets that you'll find when you check out "Every nook and cranny." They've also added suit and weapons upgrades that you'll find when you explore. The story is thin, but it's there and it's all you need to KICK-A! The AI is smart, the glory kills are bloody awesome, and music will get your blood pumping!

Second is Multiplayer. There are about 9 game styles. Even if you lose you'll earn XP Experience Points. As you progress up the levels features will unlock. You'll be able to access more Weapons, Equipment, Hack Modules, Loadout Slots, Suit parts, Colors and Patterns. By Level 17 I had all weapons and equipment available. DOOM Multiplayer may not be all that unique or "original," but frankly there isn't much to MP games. You run, you shoot, you frag, you try to stay alive. It's still a lot of fun and the maps are cool! Plus you get to play as a Demon! How cool is THAT?

Third is SnapMap, a level/game creation tool. It's relatively easy to use and the possibilities are endless! Tutorials are included, although they don't do an in depth job of explaining the logic/syntax of the system. You'll need learn those to build more complex maps and actions. But there are already dozens of tutorials on YouTube showing how powerful SnapMap can be. There are a couple of limitations. One is that created maps can only handle 4 players total. I hope they increase that to at least 8! The other is that at release there is no outside modding planned. So for example you can't add your own textures or models or sounds. SnapMap is still very cool and I've already played a few dozen maps.

Overall the graphics look great with lot's of sharp detail. Even on a modest graphics card, like my GeForce GTX 750 Ti, it plays smoothly and looks incredible! The game play is fast and bloody! I Highly Recommend it.

Dood, it's DOOM!
