It has come a long way since it's initial release and I was still a bit sceptical about it. It was on sale on Green Man Gaming so I thought why not (It's still on sale as of this review so jump on it quick if you want it cheap!). I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it is. There are missions now and it's not just farming. Though that is still a part of it. And there are vehicles now too. And actual weapons that you can use though they aren't really required. The laser beam can take care of most enemies.
There are also dog fights in space with space pirates. It's basically an MMO without the price tag. A free to play if you will. But it doesn't have that cheap feeling like other MMOs. And Hello Games actually cares about the game and puts a lot of effort into the content.

If you're on the fence about it watch some gameplay videos and reviews. But if you like space exploration with a bit of combat and not being hand held then I recommend this game wholeheartedly.
