European Ship Simulator is an awful simulation game that manages to have no redeeming qualities at all. The graphics are probably the highlight of the game, and they are mediocre at best. As for gameplay, it is clunky and tedious. Controlling your ship isn't fun because the user interface is so awkward to use. Most mechanics aren't explained at all, so you wind up just guessing what you are supposed to do. A game like Euro Truck Simulator gives you plenty of guidance, which helps ease you into the game. There are also a number of bugs, specifically with the ship AI that just goes on predefined routes and pretends like the player isn't there. Everything also takes a very long time, even with fast forward, so you spend large portions of the game (80-90%) just sitting there watching your ship move. Not recommended at all, truly one of the worst games you could buy, especially at $20.
