What is Calico?

Calico is an open world story game where you open your own cat cafe and venture through the world to find cats and meet new NPC friends. You take over your aunts already established cafe and go off the first few recipes that are hers. You can go out into the wild and catch animals to bring them back to your cafe, not only cats, there are so many different animals as well as MOUNTS that you can get in the game.

-"Woah these controls are really weird"
-"What button do I use for this why isn't this working?"

Beginner Player Friendly?

I do not believe that this game is beginner friendly. The controls are super super confusing, I do not use controller and know it is controller compatible so perhaps that would be easier for some people to understand? However for Keyboard and Mouse users this game is so hard to understand I wish they had a keybind setting somewhere hiding in their esc menu somewhere just so I could see which buttons do what, so far I also can't find any forums that will help with the keyboard keybinds issue, so if you guys can find any send them in the comments below to help new players and help me.

Game Play:

Gameplay wise this game is third person so you get to see your character run around like a crazy. The game has a different twist on the baking aspect and actually shrinks you in size in order to cook your tasty treats in a giant witches' pot. The world itself is seemingly open and you can venture around finding creatures that you can befriend and bring back to your cafe. You can meet other NPCs in this game as well and they all have their own individual stores, storylines and missions for you to complete. Their design is so cute and I love how they all look! The character design and customization is amazing, and you can change it anytime throughout the game while you get clothing and other cute items that you can earn in the game.

Graphics:

So far the graphics are gorgeous and authentic. They almost give me a sort of cute version of runescape. Though they bring peace to my eyes and itch that spot in my brain that needs a bit of itching.

Community:

So far the community in the steam forums seem like very awesome people and willing to help when need, though I have never officially met or talked to anyone else who has played calico.

How long can you play?

So far unknown, but I saw a review say that someone had played through the storyline 5 times, so it seems like you can play it for as long as you want if you want to replay the story or take your time with the story.

My Opinion:

So far the only thing I do not like about this game are the key board controls, they are so confusing and I wish wish wish that they would add some sort of setting to be able to edit or even just see your keybinds! Other then that I do rather enjoy this game. (IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO FIND THE KEY BINDS FOR KEYBOARD LET ME KNOW)
