Princess Remedy is a charming, short (about 2 hours long on normal difficulty) and amazing "bullet hell" game with retro ATARI graphics. And it's totally free.

If you like the bullet hell genre, what are you waiting for? Challenging battles and tons of jokes are waiting for you. Go check them out, give this Remedy a shot.

The game features the story of Samantha, a girl who has social anxiety and is laying in her dorm peacefully.... until she notices she's hungry. Very hungry. So, she needs to go to kitchen and try to make a cup of oatmeal, but due to her condition this will not be a simple task.

This short non-kinetic Visual Novel had potential, since it demonstrates accurately how a simple everyday task may be an impossible thing to do for a person with social anxiety. Sadly, it develops too little the main character, which may pass the impression that people with social anxiety are all about their paranoias - and they aren't. A game that addresses such a delicate matter like social anxiety should have done a deep development of their protagonist, in a way she could look more like an individual person rather than a generic character with social anxiety.

Also, after one or two playthroughs, the story gets very repetitive as most of the endings are the same with just a small little variation.

Planetarian is a beautiful sci-fi post-apocalyptic visual novel about hope in a world filled with despair. It has a great voice action and very melancholic soundtrack, that matches pretty well with the plot.

The story features a Junker (a scavenger of abandoned, old cities) who takes shelter in an abandoned planetarium in a city long abandoned by it's previous occupants. He is looking for food, drink and cigarettes while avoiding hostile warmonger robots, patrols, sentries and other Junkers. In the Planetarium, he encounters a sweet and dedicated robot called Hoshino Yumemi who sees the Junker as one of the visitors. Their relationship evolves into a deep and beautiful story of friendship, which makes this Visual Novel one of the best currently available in Steam.

I shed tears and you'll probably shed tears as well, be prepared.

Shan Gui is a short kinetic Visual Novel with gorgeous soundtrack, lovely voice acting and incredible artwork in general. The game had everything needed to be good game but, sadly, it isn't.

The plot development lacks consistency and the characters also lack a good background story, being like empty shells. It's simple... poor. To fill this emptiness, the developers tried to sexualize the romance between the characters for the sake of the fanservice, which made the whole plot even more forceful and empty. Besides the pretty backgrounds and relaxing soundtrack, this game has nothing else to offer.

McPixel is a short and utterly funny point-and-click game. The gameplay is simple: you'll face a scenario with a bomb and have to do the correct choice within 20 seconds to deactivate it. Otherwise, it will explode and you'll have to retry.

Seriously, this game is hilarious. Give it a try, you won't regret!

This game is a sequel of "Cherry Tree High Comedy Club" in form of a short (about 2 hours long) kinetic Visual Novel. The first game was, in fact, much more a management game than a Visual Novel ifself. It's sequel plot is like... more of the same: an anime style story that should be funny, but it isn't. The characters have stereotyped personalities that lacks charm. Soundtrack doesn't captivate either, it's ultra repetitive.

And you can't even play it in fullscreen!

Soul Gambler is a short comic book style visual novel with multiple choices that will lead you to different endings. The multiple outcomes added a lot of replay value to the game: a single run of the game lasts about one hour and you can get up to five different endings.

The main character is inspired in Goethe's Faust, like he was a "modern version" of him. Great allusion! Faust has boring job and an ordinary life, but all of that changes when he sells his soul (voluntarily or not) to a witch and now can fulfil his desires. Each wish granted takes away a part of his soul and that can self-destruct him. Soon, Faust noticed that he will have to find a way to get rid of the witch so he can keep his soul and return to his normal and pacific life.

Give it a try, you probably won't regret it!

The whole Sakura's franchise is just like this one: a game made for the sake of fanservice.

So, if you like Visual Novels with a very poor plot and LOTS of fanservice, this is for you. Sadly, I don't.

An awful sequel to one of the best MMOs I've ever played. This game brings shame to the original Ragnarök, which gave many of us MMORPGers our very first taste of what it is to play a MMORPG. Comparisons aside, Ragnarok Online 2 is still a very bad game.

When the game was released in 2013, I've played a few hours and thought that the game itself was kinda generic and a bland MMO but I wanted to give RO2 the benefit of the doubt and I kept playing for something like three months or so (I've probably had around 300 hours of gameplay outside Steam).

As soon as I found that this game was in Steam, I felt like I should came here and make a short review of what RO2 includes. Let's resume it in a few words:

- A horrible pay2win system and a ridiculous amount of grinding to earn enough money to catch up with those who can buy from the cash shop;

- Generic anime graphics;

- A lot of bugs that are never or take a hell of a long amount of time to get fixed;

- Unbalanced classes and a repetitive combat system;

- Generic Quests. A lot of them. Bring X, Kill X monsters, etc.

Just stay away from it. This game is a failure and doesn't worth your time.

[Neutral Review]

Although I have dropped it before completing my first playthrough, I must recognize that "Loren, The Amazon Princess" is an amazing mix between a turn-based RPG and a Visual Novel with romance elements. If you enjoy any kind of tabletop RPG, especially the medieval fantasy ones, you'll love Loren's gameplot: there'll be a great variety of well-described Elves, Orcs, Amazons, Witches, Wizards, Necromancers, Slaves, Dwarves, Dryads and many other typical characters from classic RPG present in Loren.

The turn-based RPG mechanic of the game is simple and grants lots of fun. A full playthrough has about 10 hours if you aren't a slow reader or thorough RPG player. Sadly for me, as the game progressed, I feel a bit tired of the repetitiveness of the battles and decided to drop the game. Also, the romance mechanic feels a bit disconnected (it's more like optional) from the main plot and reinforced my repetitiveness feeling. That was only my personal experience, but I think the game is pretty good and worth your time anyway.
