It appears as though Valve has abandoned the "User first" mentality they used to have for so long, and have adopted the "if it doesnt hurt me" mentality in allowing bad actors to run wild. Accounts who do nothing but violate the TOS day in and out are seldom punished as of 2026. Accounts with pornographic content strewn about on their profile, accounts with blatant racism allover their page, to people who use mass bot farms to commend and comment on their profile easily and verifiably breaking automation rules on steam (these accounts appear to be stolen when you see this as well).
Steam support has yet to do the bare minimum and start handing out penalties and punishments all while telling those of us who want to respect the platform we use every day "just use the proper report channels" all while ignoring those proper channels having power tripping badmins.

BackpackTF is full to the brim with power-tripping support and deviant persons who feel it is appropriate to sexualise children. "Trade Bots" will mass report your profile if you decline a clear scam attempt (steam locked my account down temporarily due to this). Backpack is unsafe to use at this point in time and will advise against the use of it in any capacity due to simply how disgusting the moderation and owners are.

If you add me randomly and have a private inventory/hidden hours I will assume you are a scammer and will be blocked and reported for attempted breaking steam TOS in their automation and harassment clause.
