Everything in Disco Elysium from starting with no clue what to do and what's going on, to putting the pieces together and solving the case, the atmosphere, the dialogue, the characters, it's just all so amazing.

This game is truly magical on the first playthrough and the more blind you go into it. The completely different approaches you can take, goof off doing side stuff that suddenly gives you a clue to the main case, it's all so well thought out and makes the world feel so alive.

And oh the characters, the character writing and their personalities are what shines the most in this game, especially the duo of main protagonist and kim. But even the small side characters are well written and give the game depth that makes you want to seek out every possible interaction.

If there ever was a proper use for the word masterpiece this game would be it for me.
