Not your average mmorpg with the role of dps, tank, and healer. Every classes in the game have a heal skill as well as dodges for you to take care of yourself. Every classes also have different types of skills based on your weapon of choice. While the world is not truly open world but more of an open instances of many different zones within the world.

Questing is different as well, players don’t required to be in a group for progressions, you can help out that one struggling player kill and both of you will be eligible for credits as well as loots. But the main thing that makes the game unique are the events that will periodically come up everywhere in the world from herding helpless animals to killing giant dragons. The game also have dungeons and raids while they don’t really offer loots that are stronger than what you can obtained outside of them, they do offer more in depth story as well as challenges to players who are seeking them.

There are just way too much about this game but one major point that I love this game is the fact that as someone who is busy everyday and only have a few hours to play, I don’t have to feel obligated to login and play, I don’t have to wait for a group to get things going and best of all I don’t need to rush myself over everything in the game since Guild Wars 2 is more of a horizontal progression compared to all the mmorpg out there that focuses on vertical progression meaning new content new gears making older gears obsolete. The gears I obtained 10+ years ago is still relevant today.

If you are looking for an mmorpg to play and not a part time job, give this one a try since the base game itself is free to play and offer a lot of contents and the gears you earned from that is still viable to this day
