DUKE NUKEM: FOREVER

This is Duke Nukem forever. This game is bad. My hours and achievements don't reflect much here, but I completed the base game on Xbox 360, and I played through the DLC here on Steam. I purchased this game twice so you don't have to.

+The voice actor for Duke did a great job with the trash he was handed. That's all that is good about this game.

Too many bad aspects. This is a shooter game released well after the demographic for the predecessors either aged out of the gaming hobby or gave up. Only the die hard Duke fans stuck around long enough to be disappointed, including me. I can't give a subjective review to this, I am jaded because this is what happened to one of my childhood favorite games. This classic guilty pleasure shooting gallery romp was turned into a jank mess with no care for the source material and too many quarter cooked features.

-No weapon wheel.
-Bad driving sections.
-Bad turret sections.
-Terrible mid 2000's references.
-Terrible weapons, with a bad system in place for carrying weapons.
-Terrible enemies.
-Bad graphics at time of release and today.
-Nvidia glitches persist.
-Terrible loading delays.
-Bad OST, too short and not really fun to hear.
-Plainly irritating voice acting from the rest of the cast.
-Frequent crashing to desktop and lock-ups on the Xbox 360.

This game's source material used to be a homage to classic action and sci fi flicks, mixed with a rated R spin put on it. This game is not that, it tries to be a pandering social commentary of how much a massive gaper Duke is and how he was left behind, and also making the game feel too old for its release time as well as now.

I don't want to focus on how bad this game is from the standpoint of an original DNF 2001 follower, so I'm not going to continue slamming out this negative review.

1/10 I was disappointed. Don't play this game.
