Ace Combat 7 is my first Ace Combat game.
The exaggerated aerodynamics makes piloting a fighter jet easy and fun.
Your altitude is capped at around 40,000 feet, and the game limits free flight by space (i.e., mission area) and time.

On hard in single-player mode, the game is quite unforgiving (e.g., mission 6, mission 11).
The story didn't hook me, but the gameplay did.

Multiplayer offers Battle Royale (BR), where every player fights everyone else, and Team Deathmatch (TDM).
TDM usually has long wait times because the game requires at least 4 players and an even total.
Players also sometimes leave mid-match, or players leave because matchmaking in TDM is usually slower.
Hence, people seem to favor BR, since matchmaking is usually quicker there.
There are really good players to play against or to play alongside in multiplayer.

(Multiplayer) sorties depend both on pilot skill and aircraft capabilities.
Choosing the right aircraft and aircraft parts for a sortie matters.
Get MRP (in-game money) by playing (multiplayer) sorties.
Buy & unlock aircraft and aircraft parts in the Aircraft Tree, then use them for your sorties.

Overall: Ace Combat 7 is quite enjoyable.
