Early Access Review
As an online friend of the developer; I can say he's quite caring, and supprotive of his customers. Not only does he have the dedication that many big industries don't have (COUGH COUGH VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING) he is a talented programmer and can quickly implement suggestions & features.

Old but Gold; Thats what they say. And though it shant be true for many things; It certaintly applies to this masterpiece.

With over 20 maps to choose from in custom battles, and tens of more in campaigns, you are given the chance to fight your way through the imperial dawn of Europe, where powder ruled the earth and first liners soveriegn of the waves.
Clash alternate historical battles through London, Paris, and Berlin; all with full scale designs of the exact city's blueprint so many years ago. Unlimber the infamous 12 pounders and unleash hell on La Madeliene, with a brutal charge under arcs of fire to recapture Paris from the Prussians.

See the mighty "Victory" unleash her rusting 104 guns on "Ville de Paris" and witness the true 'Red Rockets' Glare' upongst the night sky.

The campaign offering the most in depth grand strategy a man could ever lay his eyes upon, the gem of strategy and total-war combined offers the wholly-perfect composition of harmonic factors, in both warfare, and Imperial Glory.

General James Wolfe, August 18th, 1820.

As a man of the days of Imperial Glory; I had relived the days of St. Lawrence and Montreal; sailing across vast waters and cleaning clocks off the seas. It's been twenty years since thus, and such fond memories still sit in my heart. With the possibility of reliving the 17 '50's, I can say I am not dissapointed at the swift deliverance of jolly good fun for all sailing lads at heart, and a good chance to clock Loudoun in the face, along with the frogs once more.

10/10 Will never forget '56 again.

I bought this gem on sale; and oh wow, it was the masterpiece I had waited for all my life. The first battle I hopped into was epic. Every lover of the 18th century would appreciately nod at the thin lines of well uniformed men firing glorious volleys into the other, and the heat of cavalry charging through a dense forest.

Unfortunatley. The optimization is terrirble. For those of you wanting to play looks over quality, you will try to boost the graphics to high, or ultra. But be warned.... Total War Empire is a realistic game...So realistic, it does not understand modern technology.

It's great for a few cents; it's perfect for tabletop wargaming fans who love a small break from reality and step into history and chaos.

You start off by selecting 4 gamemodes- Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. Nightmare is not too difficult-the AI is not stupid, nor overwhemingly difficult to crush. A great feature they include is the different value of each same unit type. For example, the infantry can have good damage, but bad defence. It makes you feel like-for a history buff like me-you have to control over certain troops such as militita, to regulars.

You can only play as the 'Patriots.'

The battles are great. It ends at Yorktown-which is pretty cool. The map for it has the water surrounding, and you have to fight your way through artillery into the heart of the town; just like the real battle.

You get to do 'hotseat' which is pass and play; great for a break between lovers of simple, yet chaotic tabletop gaming.

8/10.
