a great platformer.
beautiful handdrawn art style, great music that really fits the game and the time period when cartoons looked this way.
really tigth controlls and awesome gameplay.
there is some difficutly to the game but there's also a simple mode, haven't tried it myself since i personally enjoy difficult but fair platformers so i'm not sure how much easier it gets.
i've only completed the first world so far and i'm loving it, it has that addictive gameplay where you tell yourself just one more stage.

there's more levels with just a boss fight than i thought and even tho i rarely like boss rush type games i'm really enjoying this. each boss got several stages of transformation with it's own attacks and this keeps it fresh. of course there's also regular levels to break things up and i've even had levels where i'm a small airplane.
the game is really old school in the way that things might feel extremely difficult when you first start up a level but it all comes down to patterns and learning the tells for different enemies and attacks, first time on a few levels might feel like its extremely hard but just 2-3 tries later you'll fly through the level and complete it without even getting hit, it all comes down to patterns.
compared to a lot of other games cupheads difficulty always feels fair and when you die you know you're the one who screwed up and comes down to skill, which means you're always able to improve.

what you see is pretty much what you get, so if you've seen some gameplay and you think you're gonna like it i'm pretty sure you will.
i highly recommend getting it

really fun, really addictive high tempo roguelike.
you get your currency and score through a sort of multiplier so don't go into it thinking you can take your time killing off enemies, then they're useless.
i normally don't like high tempo games like this but GoNNER is really fun and definitely a game i'll be sinking some hours into.

what you see in the screenshots and clip is exactly what you get, so if you like what you see you should give it a try

great game, awesome music.
it's pretty short, maybe 30min tops to 100% the first time you're playing it.
but still a great game and definitely worth playing if you think it looks interesting on the screenshots

a must buy if you enjoy bridge builders. and if you've never tried a bridge builder before... buy this one.

a fairly easy and simple metroidvania but still very enjoyable.

it's been offered really cheap over at humble bundle twice and other bundle sites.
it's also possible to get it discounted on steam, when writing this it's 70% off ($4.50) on steam.
so if you see it on sale i recommend you buying it

this game is awesome!
it's beautiful, the world is really kool to explore and the combat is fantastic.
the game is on the harder side, i myself love hard but fair games but i also know that some people don't like hard games so for me this is just a plus but take this into consideration if you don't like hard games and you're thinking about buying it.

other than that i'd highly recommend it!

not what i expected at all.. the combat gets really boring real quick, and i didn't even like it to begin with.
i expected something more Link on NES -like but instead the enemies continue walking towards you to the point that they walk right into you instead of stopping and fighting, making everything even more annoying.
i get that the dev went for a bit harder combat, and i love hardcore 2D platformers where volgarr's one example of a hardcore old school platformer done right, but the difficulty in shadowcrypt just feels cheap as hell and the way you have to play the game just isn't enjoyable at all.

i even took up these issues and more with the dev who basically told me that this is his vision of the game even though i said that the number of people who'll actually enjoy this game is minimal.
well.. i hope you enjoy your vision mr dev now when no one else is.
the game had an all time peak of 17 players the month it got released, after that it's gone between 1-3 the following months and 0 the last 30days.

i thought it looked really kool but got this crap instead.. what annoys me the most is the missed potential here. with some fine-tuning and adding something more to the gameplay than running through "catacombs" for fun with no real incentive.

not too hard, not to easy. a bit short tho, i completed all the snowmen in 2 hours and thats with a few minutes in the pause menu so 1½ maybe.
i like really hard puzzle games so it might take a few minutes longer for some people out there.
as long as you're aware of the game length and still willing to pay full price you you're good but otherwise wait for a sale.
aside from the game length its really good and i enjoyed it
