Since the beta, I've loved the format of this game and the overall hype behind it. And since release I have not stopped playing this game! 103 hours into the game via Steam, in game play time of 10 hours (Most of the time it's loading into games or tweaking loadouts that add up the time)

Overall rating 9/10 - Worth a try if you've got a strong machine!

The Good

- The flow of the game
- The variety of the weapons and class gadgets
- The visual fidelity
- The connectivity

The Bad

- The "Cheese" tactics
- "Off Meta" fun can be difficult
- A very competitive game bringing along the mindset (Tryhards, toxic comms or trolling, etc)

The Ugly

- The FPS cheaters are here (No doubt seen some of the crazy things online)
- Frame consistency (CPU dominant game - Destructive environment assets)
- Majority of players don't use in-game chat (Solo queue is brutal - especially in ranked)

It's Good but not Perfect

If you've enjoyed looter shooters such as the Borderlands Series. You enjoy deep lore with plenty of story to chase up in your spare time and you like clicking heads.

This game is 100% worth investing some time into. I used to play on console originally (My PC hardware wasn't up to par at the time) and I played the first title rather late to the party but, I have loved this franchise.

I do however have some early game advice to give to anyone starting out and looking to get levelled up quickly.

- Do public events: These give you a chance of some good drops especially if you convert the event to a heroic. Makes it a little more challenging but the rewards are boosted.

- Farm for materials: Every zone you explore has it's own unique materials. Gather as much as you can as these can help you get the required parts to upgrade your light level for everything you have.

- Strikes, Crucible, Raids: Strikes are a good "Smaller" version of raids where you essentially complete a story mission and have a chance of getting legendary vanguard weapons also good for shard farming, Crucible gives you a chance to PVP and just by completing matches, you get a chance of an engram. Raids also reap good rewards too, so if you have a chance of at least 5 other people helping you out and you like team work. That'll be a good pay out too.

But of course, with every good thing comes a bad thing, a few things to be aware of too

- Crucible has so much cheese: You'll quickly learn that your "Favourite" weapon means jack against some of the cheese weapons. The meta for matches is always changing and it can lead to a lot of salty moments.

- Farming for exotics solo can be tricky: Some exotics (Unique weapons) have a difficult mission to complete solo meaning that unless you have some active friends willing to play, you'll be stuck for a while.

- Farming for materials: Sometimes you need a LOT of materials from different places and it can be tricky for some, so be prepared to have long moments of boredum as you farm the same areas over and over again.

- DLC needed for some parts: If you're into completing collections, prepare to pay for a full title (£50 as of writing) to really get further parts of the game.

So, do I recommend you try this game?

Yes, I really do because you get to enjoy some wonderful gameplay, gorgeous graphics at butter smooth fps and a community driven title that really changes up the normal team work based games out there.

Oh and it's free. So why not?

Early Access Review
If you want to support a quick cash in game that's been poorly made just to make you think all the cosmetics are amazing. Then be my guest. But I've played games a 12 year old could make in minutes, a million times better than this poor game. Absolute trashy game.

Played through once, Honestly if you are looking for a fun game that has some great mechanics, buy it. Just be prepared for the voice acting and cutscenes for days.

Only gripe I have with the game is the occasional frame issue where too much is happening at once but overall, nothing majorly wrong. Haven't found any bugs.

CS:GO Review
I'd recommend this if you enjoy fast paced competitive games. I wouldn't recommend playing it if you enjoy call of duty. I say this purely because it isn't a trick shot show. If you know what you're doing, have a great set of friends, decent reaction time and a basic understanding of the meta. You'll be hooked for a while.

I played over 1000 hours in the previous title with a great community of people had lots of fun. The only gripes I have is be prepared to face a lot of deaths early on until you know about your approach to every corner. Also be ready to hear a lot of voice spam in deathmatch. My advice for new players would be to dive into the settings, get your frame rate well above 60 fps. Keep shadows on, get your audio sorted straight away, find a low sensitivity to start with and gradually increase it until you can find a comfy setting, you'll know when everything feels right.

Once your setup, get practising. The more you play the better you will get. Coming from experience I used to play for 8 hours daily and now I barely get a chance and I'm rusty as anything! But if you are playing casually don't worry about it.
