Absolutely wonderful cozy game! Challenging enough to stay interesting, while still giving tons of freedom for how you complete the various challenges the city throws at you!

A resident needs more decoration? Build a park! or a flower garden, or a hedge maze!

One person needs closer access to a clothier? Set up a market district, or perhaps a central plaza?

Some children want a place to play hide and seek that smells nicer, set up clusters of flower bushes by the lakeside, or maybe line the streets with them!

It's so much fun, an absolute joy to play, and a definite recommendation for anyone that enjoys city builders, tycoon games, or just cozy relaxing experiences with that beautiful ambiance <3

PLAY THIS GAME OMG

Now I'm not absolving sins, but this dev has done more to fix monetization complaints than any other I've seen. The hat was in poor taste, and the BR should have been better explained at summer games fest. That all being said, the shooting is great, the movement is great, the modes are fun, the maps are awesome (most of 'em), and the BR is an interesting spin on a tried and true genre. 8/10 personally, give it a shot and make up your own mind.

2 and a half hours in and I'm ready to give my thoughts.

Difficulty: HARD, this game kicks your ass and does not apologize, which is exactly what I expected

Performance: Eh, it's decent, but should be better. However, this is early stages a few optimization patches and it'll run like butter

Enjoyability: HELL YES IT'S ENJOYABLE, the combat is satisfying as hell once you get the hang of it, and the difficulty makes every encounter tense

VIBE: The vibe is perfect, almost exactly what I would imagine a 3d rendition of HLD would be like.

Give it time or give it a try, either way you slice it, this is the makings of something amazing.

Take the most epic swordfights from the Princess Bride, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Zorro films. Put them all in a box, price that box at $25 AUD, and give it some amazing environmental combat. With all of this together, you have En Garde, my personal indie GOTY.

Please please PLEASE give this game a try, it is above and beyond 40$. It's a phenomenally well polished, well balanced game, with some excellent and loveable characters. The lore map is engaging and has tons of background context, building a believable and amazing galaxy that I love freegunning in. Take a chance, buy the game, and if you play your first few matches and it isn't worth it, refund it, that's fine.

The fact is not every game is for every person, but this game is for a lot of people who are absolutely missing out because of the bad press and demonization of the price tag.

I've never felt more testosterone pumping through my veins in all my life, and I'm a girl, 10/10 this game reversed my transition.

An absolutely excellent and unique battle royale.

This game captures the world of H.P. Lovecraft with its hideous and terrifying monsters. The armoreds that threaten to charge you, the hives that send swarms of poisonous bugs at you, and the lumbering butcher and venom spitting spider. All of these create a truly incredible world that is hard to forget.

But the real fear, the moments that cause my heart to pump, is when camping at a bounty and the sound of footsteps rings out from the church floor above. When other players enter ear shot my hands start shaking, knowing that out in the monster filled bayou the true monsters are the other hunters. Sitting by a doorway, hearing them walk near, rifle at the ready, only to hear your teammate yell "They're inside!" Makes for such tense gameplay that keeps me coming back for more.
