The game is fun at low stakes ("difficulties") but the higher the difficulty, the more RNG dependent it becomes, and as someone who was planning to complete the game, it's demotivating and stressful.

The difficulty system is mostly just adding ways to make the game more tedious and the chance to get a good set of cards more frustrating: example, at a certain level you have cards which expire after 5 rounds, and of course more than half of those you find end up as perishables.

This is just a good game ruined by RNG imbalancing later on - even searching tips from other players you find that rerolling games when u find that u get bad jokers at the start is a common strategy - tried many approaches and just ruined the fun I had at the beginning.

'Completionist++' achievement isn't extremely rare because many people didn't grind the game fully, but because they got fed up of how BS the game is on higher stakes.

Just buy it if you are a casual player and don't mind this I guess.

Satisfies the cravings of a game like rimworld with a more casual (less harsh) experience. I absolutely love it and there is so much content it feels like a never ending city builder.

Step 1. Friends say they want to play Valheim with you and ask you to buy it.
Step 2. Buy Valheim
Step 3. Friend says they are busy so you leave it in your steam inventory
Step 4. You know the game is good either way, so you write a good review.

I do not recommend this game to anyone and I will give a detailed review below. I would heavily appreciate it knowing I prevented a person from getting a dead game full of manipulative developers.

First thing I want to say is that I am aware of my low hour count. I simply gotten banned before even having a good portion of learning the roles, why would I want to be banned? The reason I got banned from this game is for something which not only I have been falsely accused for, but also many others which you can check the reviews of. The developers said I have drawn a swastika design on a deathnote which got me banned. I also got a ban evading label just for logging into my brother's steam account without even touching the game. No processes open or anything (Steam wouldn't even log out if the game processes were still open). I contacted the developers in which they have refused to give me evidence for at that time. The developers had replied to my previous review which I have now deleted (And will reshow at the bottom) because I wanted to update it and let it be shown to others. Before deleting the review, I noticed the developer's reply was gone, as well as many other replies made on other bad reviews. The developers wanted to hide the fact they accused many reviewers of "seeking revenge", which is sad considering that's the only excuse they can come up with. They are manipulative people who refuse to admit how corrupt they are with their unfair banning system. A gamethrower was not banned whilst someone who was angry at the gamethrower got banned instead. Today I have went onto their discord server and have reasked for evidence patiently, and was told that I will be shortly after given a reply by a moderator regarding what I had done. Guess what? 15 Hours and still no reply. I contacted an admin after those 15 hours because I had a feeling I would never get a response. Something to note here before continuing is I joined this game in 2019. I told the admin I wanted to see proof of what I had drawn, and this is where the funny thing is. He sends me an imgur picture with " +1,145 views ". He probably used this same image to blame this very same excuse to other people. But if that isn't bad enough, the image was uploaded in 2018! I got it in 2019, how does that make sense? After denying to the developer I did that, I got banned from the discord server for the reason "You were banned from Throne of Lies Game :crown: | Trying to rationalize a swastika + genital deathnote when there's proof [nsfw] (https://imgur.com/xvftB8o) coming from your account.". This game was the worst experience I have ever had, and If I could refund it I would.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Don't get the wrong idea, this game was one of my favourite games. I was extremely happy to find an alternative to town of salem with new roles and as soon as I saw it I bought it. What is making me give this game a bad review is the fact that I was banned for apparently drawing innapropriate stuff on the death note (Which was not true) and I didn't know I was banned. So, ok, fair enough, why didn't I just go to the discord server and appeal and get unbanned from this unfair ban? Because I logged in into my brother's account on this same computer, and without even launching the game it automatically marked me as ban evading and I couldn't get unbanned because ban evading is 100% not unbannable. Very disappointed. I am probably unbanned by now but I am not at anytime soon looking to play this game again. If you do own this game, do not ever log in into another steam account because look what this amazing system did to me. If you do not own this game, before buying it I would suggest thinking if you share your computer with anyone else.
