STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME !!!

Whenever you try to launch the game, BattleEye launches, then freezes your PC and blue-screens it.

Stay away from that crappy scam of a game until the devs fix it... Which I doubt they will since the game's been abandonned for a hot minute.

In my opinion, Men of War 2 takes everything great about MOWAS2, throws it out the window and tries to be a better looking Company of Heroes, which sucks because I was really looking forward to this game... I'd honestly rather be playing CTA: Gates of Hell, which says a lot, at least for me. The UI is absolutely atrocious, confusing and nonsensical. The way you handle units feels off, it just feels like you're giving them suggestions rather than orders, the units themselves look cartoonish at times and worst of all, that ridiculous emphasis on PvP and multiplayer makes it downright unbearable.

Why would I care about unlocking vehicles for multiplayer ? Multiplayer this, multiplayer that, connecting to server here and retrieving online info there, holy crap ! Oh wait a minute, I just unlocked some damn jeep with a peashooter on the back, lucky me ! Is this Company of Heroes 3: Assault Squad or is it a Men of War game ? Slapping health bars on tanks really makes you think you're playing COH. As of right now, this game has a huge identity crisis and as a fan of the series I just can't find my vibe in this game.

If you ask me, I'd tell you not to get the game, but I'm so disappointed right now that maybe you should take my opinion with a grain of salt. Play it, see for yourself, maybe you'll like it.

I appreciate the effort and the overall approach on the game, but it just doesn't feel like Men of War to me, hence why I couldn't bring myself to play more than 16 minutes like the devs so expertly pointed out, although those 16 minutes were MORE than enough to realize this game isn't for me. Again, the UI is raw, stale and confusing, the maps are beautiful but they're largely overshadowed by the fact that the unit models look outdated, as if some were sourced from a previous game and the "always online" part of things with the severe emphasis on multiplayer action really gets in the way for me; I do not care about unlocking jeeps and tanks and units for online play, it makes no sense for a game like that to have this system.

Finally, the devs recommended that I enable the "realism setting." Perhaps this option switches a few things, or gives the game another look. At the end of the day, I doubt one click of a button can change the overall feel and shape of the game, because this here is a completely new recipe that looks and plays nothing like what I'm used to.

Trying new things is great, some people will like the game for sure, some won't.

Hard pass for me.

I've finally found my footing with this game. If you can share the experience with friends, you'll have a blast. Little jumpy here and there still, but it's great. The new DLC brought some much needed customization fixes.
