Follow The Meaning

It's a point and click puzzle adventure game about detective Paul Trilby who recieves a letter from Dr. Susi to help her unravel the mystery of a peculiar town.

The game is hand drawn and looks really great! The colors are easy for the eyes. I absolutely love the art style of the game. I enjoy the quirky looks of things! Besides the visuals, the soundtrack is just as stunning! The music is so soothing, calm and relaxing!

The puzzles in game aren't that extremely difficult. There might be 1 or 2 that will get you thinking for a little bit longer but you won't be stuck for hours. Therefor this game is perfect if you're new to puzzle games and want to slowly dive into it.

Most achievements you'll get during your first playthrough. You might miss a cat or two and need to replay at least once for one achievement in particular.

I've loved every minute of playing this game! It's really great! Highly recommend!

The Hungry Fly

You play as a fly who's hungry for dead things.
But unlucky for you, you live in a swamp where nothing dies!
In your search for food you find other inhabitants of the swamp.

This is such a fever dream game if I've ever seen one!
The way it looked made me incredibly curious.
I can say I'm not disappointed. But don't ask me what the story is because I can't quite put my finger on it.

You're a fly that starts to eat certain things that hold memory's.
Memory's from a monster.
You're curious and want to learn more about the monster but also want to make sure the monster disappears from existence.
So you keep eating.

I love that the game has a montion sickness safe option.
Unfortunately I still got a bit of a nauseous feeling from it but it probably was a whole lot less than what it could've been!
So definitely plus points for that!

I got all the achievements of the game in my 3h gameplay.
Finishing the game the first time took me 1,5h.
After that it goes a whole lot faster, now you know where to go and what to do.

It is such a weird game with an eerie vibe.
I loved it! But am still utterly confused.
This review might feel a bit unfinished because I don't want to give too much away. But at the same time I also can't really say more because I don't have more.

I suggest you take a look for yourself!

Rise Of The Village Hero

A game inspired by classic RPGs we all used to play and love when we were younger!

Our village is under attack by orcs and other monsters! The town we lived in with all our friends and family has been overrun and we're just not having it! We are standing up for ourselves and for the people we love! We're going on quests to help them out by finding people or things they lost. And while we're doing that we're slaying all these monsters that turned today in a living Hell!

The dialogue with the NPCs is funny and sassy.
The game has permadeath so it's a little unforgiving. Which also gives it it's charm and makes you be extra careful! You're the hero after all!

Highly recommend playing the demo and even getting the full game as it's super fun!
If you used to love or still love classic RPGs this game is for you!

Rise Of The Village Hero

A game inspired by classic RPGs we all used to play and love when we were younger!

We are standing up for ourselves and for the people we love! We're going on quests to help them out by finding people or things they lost. And while we're doing that we're slaying all these monsters that turned today in a living Hell!

The dialogue with the NPCs is funny and sassy. There are still some tiny little bugs here and there that have to be changed but that's to be expected with an early access game. None of them affected the game play whatsoever.

The game has permadeath so it's a little unforgiving. Which also gives it it's charm and makes you be extra careful! You're the hero after all!

Unfortunately this game doesn't have achievements (yet, *looks at dev*) Which for me personally as an achievement hunter is always a little bit of a shame. But it doesn't take away anything from the game! It's still a super fun playthrough!

I love this game and had a blast playing it! If you're interested in my playthrough you can check the VOD over on YouTube:

I'd give this game a 7,5/10
It's nostalgic re-branded!

Midnight Heist

Midnight Heist is a game about being a hacker for various organizations. You have to improve your reputation, earn money and uncover some shady business!

You have to break into a building, hack all the computers and security cameras and steal all the documents. Sounds easy enough right? Well, there's a catch! You're not alone in these buildings. Something is there trying to kill you, so you better be careful!

So I know this game is supposed to be a horror game but me and my friends thought this game was super relaxing.
We went in the buildings, did our missions and got back out! The first few heists you have to figure out what to do exactly but as soon as you have a game plan you are running through it pretty fast!

Getting all of the achievements is super easy! Just play the game and you'll get them all one by one! One requires you to grind a little longer but it's not too bad at all! It took me about 17h to fully complete it.

During the time we were hunting for achievements the devs added a new map and a new entity. So there is still plenty of content upcoming!

I'd give this game a 7,5/10
Playing this with friends is really fun!

Astroneer

A game about space and different planets!

You start on a planet where you have to build your base. There are quests that you can follow which will give you rewards that'll help with your progress!

The game is gorgeous! It's so vibrant in color! Each planet is completely different. Some are easier than others when it comes down to gathering resources.
There is so much to learn, build and explore on all the different planets!

We started playing this game with 2 people and quickly realized that it's such a big game and therefor might need a little help! So we ended up playing with 3 people instead. This helped so much with the progress!
We figured out that we were playing this game not necessarily as it was intended.
There is so much building that have all these technical aspects to it that would make everything a lot easier. But that's just not where our interest lies.

There are plenty of achievements to get in this game. Most of them you'll get by just playing. Some of then require a few certain actions you wouldn't do otherwise. And 1 in particular is a pretty big grind!
It took me almost 80 hours to complete it 100%

I'd give this game a 6,5/10
The game is so pretty and really fun to play. Unfortunately for me near the end my enthusiasm disappeared slightly and I was glad we finished it.

Exodus

Exodus is a very unique puzzle game where you play as the disembodied hand of God.
Don't worry, you don't have to be religious to enjoy this game!

The game has 45 levels. They're put in different sections and each section has a certain focus point to solve the puzzle. For instance, in one section you have to use spikes and in another its all about color.

To play the game you only have to use your mouse. You move the hand around and by clicking you can make magic happen!
Sometimes it feels like the hand is not completely listening to you and therefor you can mess up what you were trying to do. But fear not, you can try again!

Some puzzles are fairly easy to figure out but some can also be quite challenging! Especially since the game doesn't have a tutorial so you really have to just try to click and drag everything.
All with all I've completed the entire game in roughly 3 hours.

The game doesn't have achievements, which I personally always find a shame! I do however see potential in adding them!

The art style of the game might not be my first choice but the soundtrack makes up for it! It's really good!

I'm rating this game a 7/10
Talking about an underrated game, this is it. This is the one. This game deserves so much more than what it's getting right now!
I enjoyed playing this game so much!

Marie's Room

It's a very short story driven exploration game.
We are Kelsey and we're in Marie's Room finding pieces of the story.

The game is very beautiful. It looks great and the atmosphere is really well done! Also the voice actor for Kelsey was lovely to listen to.

While you're walking around in the room you're finding objects and attached to each object is a piece of the story. The story is being told in no particular order which makes it a little bit difficult to fully understand everything at first. But this also makes you very curious and intrigued to find out what happened.

I was honestly not expecting the ending of this game. Because if it were me, that definitely wouldn't have happened! So I guess maybe Marie is a bigger person than I am?

One thing I disliked about the game that sometimes it was pretty difficult to figure out which objects were clickable and which ones weren't. You had to be REALLY upclose for it to be triggered.

Achievement wise this game is really easy. Except for 1 that requires you to dig a little deeper.

I'd give this game a 6/10
It's a great game with a very intriguing story. The downside is just that it's very short.

Arctictopia

It's a puzzle game about a Mommy polarbear who keeps losing her child and we need to help her get back to him!

First things first, I don't know who's fault it is that these 2 keep getting separated but if it's the kids fault someone should put him on a leash!
Because after solving 150 puzzles I'm quite done with his shenanigans!

Jokes aside this game is great!
The art is super cute! The game mechanics are relatively simple but that's not bothersome at all.
Some puzzles you fix in lightning speed and others make you stay stuck for at least 45 min! This game made me both feel good and bad about my skills in the puzzle department!

Along the way of getting to your child you meet 2 other people who are also in desperate need of rescue! Eventhough seal can swim and puffin can fly! Lazy bums!
There are also the orcas who like making things more difficult for you.
The game talks about narwals and shrimp as well but I haven't seen those pop up at all. Now I don't know if that's due to the fact that I had already opened up the entire map or not. Another possibility is also that they were only there for the story in between but I don't know.

The achievements in this game are all extremely straight forward except for 1 which I managed to get on accident.

I'd rate this game a 8/10!
The game gave me more puzzles than I expected and I really enjoyed my time playing this!

Manitas Kitchen

This game is about a T-Rex named Trexito, aka Trexie, and they have a dream! To become a pizza baker!
Their brother, Alpadino, is gonna help them achieve that dream!

The art style of the game is super cute! Who doesn't melt when they see a T-Rex carry a pizza on its nose? I especially love the design of Freckles! Gotta love them and their personality!
As cute as the game might look there's some element to the story what makes it a little less cute.
I had my suspicion at first but the further the dialogue got my suspicion got confirmed! (Keeping this as cryptic as possible, you'll figure it out!)

Since I've played this game before it got officially released, there are still some bugs here and there.
- Like the timers with the special abilities are slightly off.
- The dialogue from story progress replays when you get a night shift.
- Some typos here and there.
- The 4 cheese pizza isn't able to get torched by Marsh.
But regardless these small, very easy to fix bugs, the game is great!

However, after all the good stuff there's one thing I dislike about the game.
Since this game is basically doing the same thing over and over again you'd think it'd get redundant really fast. That's not necessarily the case. It only starts to feel that way once you can't buy any new ingredients or upgrades anymore. At the beginning of the game you have something to work towards but once you've done all that you're only waiting for the story to continue. And this is the part where the game can get pretty boring. You're building up so much cash for absolutely nothing. I wish that after the last sabotage the story would progress 200% faster. It feels useless to let us wait for so long.

All with all I'd give this game a 8/10
The story is pretty fun, Freckles is bea, and gameplay itself is really great to just chill with!
