Christ. First and last time i ever pre-order a game. This has left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth from the incompetent way this game was handled im surprised they left it up.

But dont worry guys. Fixing all these issues is "On the table" :))

What the hell starbreeze

I'm not one to write many reviews for games I play. Games come and go and then they fade from my mind, even ones I could confidently say I enjoyed.

This game however feels, different. Everything about this game has been so memorable to me. The combat, the optional stealth and puzzles, the humor. Everything comes together in such a powerful way. I loved every second of it.

I'm usually very turned off by puzzles in games. I'm not a very smart individual and getting stuck on game puzzles is a very big issue for me. I have dropped games I was really enjoying for this. But this game does puzzles in a game that felt so welcoming for me, your friendly neighborhood idiot. With a simple press of a button it will highlight what you need for the puzzle, and Miles will make comments to help out... but, its OPTIONAL. its up to you if you want to press the button and check for the hint. I think this way of dealing with puzzles is the best way to do it.

The story was captivating all the way through. It did a good job at helping me understand what a spiderman is despite not really having watched many super hero movies before and not being much of a fan of them generally speaking. And the twists and important points were refreshing and very much welcomed.

Lastly, the messages it carries are wonderful. But I think the most important one really is that anyone, can be a hero. And Miles Morales is the perfect protagonist for that. I felt like a real hero while playing. And being a Latina myself seeing all the love poured by the devs for latino and black culture was incredible and honestly nearly brought me to tears at times! Its all executed so respectfully and not in your face. When I heard some music my mom loves in the background that I assume Miles mom picked? I was ECSTATIC. Thank you.

cute short game, gifted to me by a friend and it didnt dissapoint. 100% recommend for the interesting yet simple combat

A solid and cute little sniper game

Its a solid little game for the price, specially in the sale for just 5 USD, was able to beat the stages in normal in less than an hour even while looking after a 6 year old kid and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The levels kept me throughly entertained and gave a little bit of a challenge in the later ones but aslong as you're a decent shot you should get through without any trouble. I S-ranked half the stages on my playthrough and A-ranked everything else.

The cute anime girl (I dont believe she gets a name) is a very cute addition and is why I probably bought this game. She's reactive to whatever situation is happening (example: she gets all scared while under attack. She runs when you move etc) and is a nice little gimmick overall. I love her and I hope she got drinks with the commander

There is a story there, it was interesting enough to keep me engaged though Its more cutscenes and narrating from our commander rather than a cinematic experience or whatever. You're not here for that, you saw the cute anime girl and checked the reviews didn't you?

TL;DR: The game is a fun, short ride that can a good shot can get through easily. The anime girl is cute and reactive and I love her thank you

A friend bought it for me and we really hoped to like it. Filled up an 8 player party and tried it.

My main gripe with the game is that it feels so clearly balanced for 4 maybe 5 players. Playing with 8 feels unbalanced, you can't tell where you are in a lot of minigames and board play takes forever because everything moves so slow.

For the board play there's barely any good items appart from "I want to bully my friends". Its very slow and bland and even more so when you have to wait for up to 7 people to roll before you. Just roll your dice and hope you dont get merked by the board or someone else cause that's really the only option given to interact with other players.

I can't in good faith give an opinion in the minigames. A lot of them would probably be great if played with the right amount of players but at 8 players it turned into "where am I? oh im dead" or other general confusion.
The ones that didn't have this problem were okay, maybe a bit long for a party game would be my only other critism for this.

Is this an in depth review of what the game has to offer? not at all. we played 1 round and got the hell outta there. But seeing that a lot of the issues came from us going with an 8 player experience I just feel like they could have left it at 4 players max and made the game more enjoyable.

TL;DR: Probably a fun party game if you play it with 4 people. Try it with 8 and you'll find yourself mostly just waiting to roll and have a lot of the minigames feel confusing cause its too crowded.

God I really wanted to like this game i'm such a Mario Party Junkie i'm actually sad I didnt like it

Its a fun game overall, one of those you can dump hours and hours into and then it turns into the main game you play. Has many flaws and frustrating things but overall just like any other game you grow to accept those flaws as its part of what makes the game you love so much.

Game will frustrate you up and down with things that may feel unfair. But it will also throw you a bone often and make it feel all worth it.

Tsih is the only thing that matters anymore
