This is the Diablo-style game that you've been waiting for. I'm a big fan of JRPG's and this one really takes the cake for a number of reasons. If you're new to the genre, I'll lay it out like this.

For starting out, Diablo 3 is a great game to play and get the feel and idea of what and how JRPGs play. If you want to take it a step further, Grim Dawn is excellent because it adds more variables, more intricacies, great content, and the support of a great developer behind it. If you want a game that has the most intricate factors possible, multiple builds, as many theory crafting elements as you can search for, tons of new and creative content, and a developer that truly cares and listens to it's community, then Path of Exile is exactly the game for you.

There's been a few seasons where the content has been meh, but in fairness, it's all new content that shows hard labor and care in it's creation which is a lot to say as many companies don't deliver that much with their content. It's always something new, exciting, and fun, regardless of it's highly received or just mediocre at best. It's still a bunch of new content with great free MTX rewards, which is worth it in it's own right.

Not only does this game carry great content and features, but the community is by far one of the best I've experienced. If you find the reddit discord, you'll find a very helpful community and all the answers to the many questions you'll undoubtedly have. Everyone is great and the crazy thing is that even if you're on your 1st week or 11th season, everyone is still learning because there's so much to this game. So if you like a challenge that's still in a casual play state, or if you love a hard challenge where the hardcore run as fast as they can in server races, this is the game for you.
