Like many others, I am compelled to recommend this game. I was never interested in the Harry Potter franchise but I love RPGs so I decided to give this a try. From the character creator to the gameplay I have been thoroughly enjoying myself. I particularly like the range of missions making the game easy to drop in for a few minutes and drop out when you have other obligations. I love this game as a non-Harry Potter fan. I can only imagine how Harry Potter fans feel about this game.

I think the best thing about this game is the linearity. So many games now are vast open-worlds with limitless fetch quests. This game was very respectful of my time. It is also a very good looking game. The only limitation is that it doesn't have much replay value.

This game may have an interesting story but it is too difficult to get into it as the game has far too many quality of life deficits. For example, there is fast travel but only between your current location and the central hub. With a map this vast you would expect this to be well spread out through the map. Exploring the map is slow and riddled with tedious enemies. Additionally, there is only one save. Many others have recommended this game and I am sure it has many enjoyable qualities but getting into it feels like a chore that isn't worth my time.

This is by far one of the most beautiful games on PC right now. Tight controls, intriguing and well-paced story, and amazing graphics. I do wish there was a trophy or a greater reward for beating the game on the hardest difficulty but even without that I could not recommend this game enough. Its for long-time GoW fans and newcomers alike.

This game is a healthy balance of raw beat-em up fun with some historical and educational elements. This game plays just like Streets of Rage but has a much more cohesive story. I really have enjoyed the animations (this game allows you to beat people up with severed heads!) and the art style. It also has challenge modes for those who can't get enough. I highly recommend this game.

***I wanted to add to my review given that I have already completed this game on the PS3***

I like this game and the story. It gave off the a similar vibe as Platinum Games' "Vanquish" (which is a much better game that you all should play). I liked being able to switch through characters and customize my team. I also liked the characters themselves minus the annoying stereotypes (A big Black dude with less armor than everyone else? Really SEGA?). The main character is reminiscent of Nathan Drake without the platforming.

What I did not like was the voice commands. This is clearly a relic from the earlier days of the 7th console generation and really does not work here. Additionally, the multiplayer leaves much to be desired. When I first purchased this game, I thought the multiplayer would playout like RE5 mercenaries where you unlock characters as you progress through the maps or even like Vanquish's challenge maps (you guys should really play that game!) where you face the more challeging versions of the enemies from the main story. What I was given however were these generic characters and very restrictive leveling. You have to complete all 50 rounds in one sitting with no checkpoints! (ain't nobody got time for that!)

In all I will recommend the game (especially at such a low price) but don't get your hopes up if your looking for co-op play.
