The game just took my heart and shattered it... The broken fragments of my heart, it took them and tore them apart!
I will always remember this masterpiece...

After finishing, I killed a couple of characters. I am now empty from this game, pure depression — h1mboways

ᓀ Hello, Charlotte, this is more than just a regular JRPG. If you’re here, you’ve probably already realized that I want to put a huge emphasis on parts of Charlotte like "Junk Food, Gods, and Teddy Bears", "Requiem Aeternam Deo", "Childhood's End", and the alternate parts like "Delirium", "Heaven's Gate". The first three have very little gameplay, (DLC: Heaven's Gate is a Visual Novel) which is typical for any JRPG games for 1 euro. But that’s not the case here. Just look at the game or play it if you're interested, but don’t expect any kind of thrilling action game.

ᓀ And at the same time, I say: Hello Charlotte: Childhood’s End (along with the DLC, Heaven’s Gate) is one of the most emotional, impactful, and chilling pieces of art. It’s honest, irreparably vulnerable, and (as mentioned before) definitely more than just a typical JRPG. Even I still don’t know how to express the feelings that have built up in me. Hello Charlotte still leaves a reminder of itself.

ᓀ First of all, it’s the game’s style. Cute, yet terrifying, and possibly a little too bloody at times, overall it’s very beautiful, and for that reason, I wish it was more popular. The design has clearly improved in 3 games, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s nice to see when the writer and also the developer goes through all of this in creating the game, and even though sometimes the design changes made the game a little more confusing, I felt that it was worth it. By the way, I’m still in confusion.

ᓀ The story is amazing! But at times it’s very confusing and misleading, sometimes it has narrative inconsistencies that I couldn’t appreciate until I finished all three episodes. This is my only downside to the game. I felt like the story wanted to go in a certain direction, but then completely changed its course between games. This didn’t clear up any of the confusion I felt during the game.

ᓀ The third episode is actually just one part of the Hello Charlotte series, though my favorite!
Speaking from my experience, even if you decide to play this game before the previous ones, it won’t spoil the experience, and playing it after going through the older games is also a recommended option. Just prepare yourself for a bit of depression, suicide, and a truly touching story, this part has a lot of that~
