Requires Epic games account to play which wasn't necessary when I purchased this game.

Hexcells Infinite is a relaxing puzzle game and the hardest game from the Hexcells series. It features a set of 36 challenging hand-crafted puzzles, all of which can be solved without any guessing, and, as the name suggests, it contains a random level generator. You can also play user-created levels posted on hexcells levels subreddit.

Previously, random levels were easy to solve and I played them as a speed run. Update 2.0 added hard mode puzzles which feel more like the hand-crafted campaign levels and you need to take your time to solve them. After this update, the game feels truly infinite. The update also added dark mode which is a great addition if you want to play at night or just prefer dark UI.

What I miss in the game is the ability to temporary mark cells I am unsure about - currently I have to solve any complex patterns in my head and sometimes I forget which options I have already considered.

I have got this game on sale for -70% but it is definitely worth the price. If you do want to buy it, consider buying the whole trilogy, the hand-crafted levels are worth it.
