And I highly doubt that i need to tell you that VAC can be disabled just by adding -insecure to your launch options, which is something that most L4D2 players do anyway, since it allows you to install mods to increase the maximum player cap, as well as the amount of Special Infected that'll try to kill you, and a lot of other fun-scripts you can use to further enhance your Gameplay experience, so L4D2 doesn't force you to use the AC if you don't wanna. As opposed to Helldivers.
Valve also doesn't have a terrible reputation, as opposed to nProtect.

So you're in effect just pointing out that Helldivers 2 should have handled the situation differently.

As I have already stated in the thread, I was a dumb teen when I played DbD and was unaware of it having Kernel access. Mainly due to a lack of reviews pointing it out.
My time playing DbD was very educational though, as this game is riddled with cheaters.
It has very well proven to me, that Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat is utterly useless.

Same with SAOFB, it's riddled with cheaters, in spite of being a dead game. It's also filled with well-intended modders who can host lobbies with improved netcode and a higher player-cap, courtesy of EACs notorious ineffectiveness.

There's even mods for SAOFB which allow you to play online without EAC being active or even installed on your device. So I don't even use EAC when playing this game.
