If you enjoyed the original 3 gears this will feel like a "welcome back" to the fast pace nitty gritty hardcore GOW, the gunfights are awesome and feel rewarding. Now there are some bugs and graphical glitches but its still early into the release and not game breaking.
-Campaign
Personally i play on insane by myself and wish that it had some matchmaking for a co-op campaign however you can still play with another two friends, find some and play with them, otherwise the AI are cringe worthy and useless on hard and insane. Small tip learn to use Jack and his abilities to its fullest extent, you will die.... alot. Gears 5 now has side missions, follow these to find collectables in the game and componets for Jack. The world is beautiful all together, the enemies will challange you even on normal. It makes for a great campaign
-Escape
The new mode to Gears, you are snatched by a snatcher (bet you didn't see that one coming) Once inside you plant an explosive and have to get out as the venom follows, there are places to explore for guns, dogtags to take time off your time(score). Escape as fast as you can. It's a fun mode however between horde and escape some skills are shared with ultimate characters and its quite a drag,
-Horde
Horde feels underwhelming, Classes such as Tank, Offence, Scout, Est are locked to characters. The skills attached to different characters are useless until fully upgraded and it feels extreamly grindy. The enemies are changed up quite a bit which is a nice change, but its hard to keep a horde game going when people drop out like its highschool.
-Verses
Good ole gears PVP its clean thats all there is to say is it feels like its 2008 getting home from school getting on to wreck teams and chainsaw lancer fight scrubs.
-Microtransaction
Pure and simple its crap.

-Overall the game is beautiful, The graphics look awesome. Core gameplay is great. Gunplay is vast and sounds amazing. Campaign is badass. Horde, Verses, escape are good. Game needs a bit of spit and shine. Pick it up
