This game doesn't simply have a toxic playerbase and community... This is more like a social experiment that legit trains you to be a remorseless sociopath sadist incapable of trusting anyone... and will beat every shred of human empathy out of you Surrounded by those people and betrayed at every opportunity, they will grind you down until you are so bitter that you join their ranks and perpetuate the cycle.

You think I'm being Dramatic? Think I'm probably just salty? I ran several clans over thousands of hours since beta, owned my own server, regularly upwards of 100 people working under me, and consistently dominated entire servers every cycle. I once had a clan member turn out to be a spy and pretended to by our friend for over a year before waiting until the perfect moment to strike when we had the most to lose. My group of 8 logged on to find thousands of hours gone. Something like this has happened to every single person I know who's played.

Any potential this game once had has been ruined by the worst of humanity, and by the devs encouraging toxic behavior when they aren't being lazy and greedy... Having popcorn with their sadism as the people they enable tear each other apart.

Spare yourselves, this isn't worth it. You'll chase unobtainable goals for hundreds of hours, just getting tastes of the potential that should have been realized. You'll either give up right away with the illusion shattered or worse... One day you'll realize you have been treating Fortnight v0.1 like another job and have become one of the toxic people you hate.
