Early Access Review
Game has a solid base but has many fundamental flaws that needs fixing or a complete rework, here's what I think:

- Performance is not good, but wasn't much of an issue for me since I have a very good PC.

- Intentionally teamkilling is from what I can tell completely unpunished and rewarded. I was teamkilled twice. The first time I tried asking a teammate nearby if they want to join me on a quest, and they proceeded to knife me. I tried to get back quickly to get my revenge, but they took all my loot and left the server before I could. Second time was in the starting village. Simply got shot in the back while helping clear AI. Thought maybe it was an accident, but went back and my body was fully looted by them. Chased them down and they shot at me again, this time I returned fire and eventually got my gear back.

Really not sure how to fix this. Maybe some form of "was this teamkill intentional?", or reverse friendly fire. It's one of those issues where it's weird if the game removed it completely, but is damaging the game by having it included. Friendly fire works in games like Arma or Squad since there's no motivation to do it. Usually its a genuine accident, or its intentional but gets punished quickly. In an extraction shooter its a completely different story. If it goes unpunished, they only gain from killing me.

- People saying AI is on-par or better than Scavs in Tarkov are flat out wrong. AI in this game are a complete joke. Sometimes they just stand still while you wipe out their friends 3 feet in front of them. Other times they lock on you from miles away. Their health seems wildly inconsistent. Had a few times where I would headshot them 4-5 times with an M4, and they just eat it up. Without a helmet too.

- Quests are flat out boring and don't interest me. After playing thousands of hours in Tarkov, these "go grab this", "go check out this place" quests don't motivate me at all. Half of my playtime I was just exploring the map and that was way more fun than doing quests. Also some of the quests I had we're extremely vague on where to go, which led to being bored while mindlessly running around trying to find the right building.

I think its fine to have some quests like Tarkov. But I think this game would be perfect to incorporate something like Arma 3: Wasteland gamemode missions. Imagine having dynamic quests around the map that your faction, or even multiple factions see. Imagine this, what sounds more interesting: A personal quest asking you to retrieve documents from a building in town? Or, a server-wide mission, saying "Hey, there's an armed convoy carrying a shipment of explosives, we really need those supplies." And you gather as many teammates at base as possible, fly out there, and ambush this AI convoy. But oh wait, the other factions want this loot too, so now you have the AI convoy sandwiched between two or three large PMC groups. I don't know about you, but the latter sounds much more fun and dynamic to me.

I'll be keeping tabs on the game. But for now, I think it's in too much of an early and flawed state to enjoy playing.

Edit: Just some extra info - I get about 60-70 fps without DLSS, and 120-140 with DLSS. It's certainly playable for me, but DLSS being a requirement isn't ideal. It gives me a good amount of input delay. 4080, R7 7800x3D, 32gb ram.

I understand its early access. I'm just stating that the quests are basic, and what I think would be a cool direction they could go with future quests.

Saw a comment confused about getting "teamkilled" so I'll explain here. Each server is a 16v16v16 between the three factions. The other 2 factions are certainly hostile, but your own faction is supposed to be friendly. You all share the same spawn point, and you see all 15 other teammates marked on the map at all times. Those friendlies are the team kills I encountered.

I wish there was a mixed review option, since that much more aligns with my opinions. Just the combination of the issues I addressed made for a bad first impression, doesn't mean I don't see the potential. I'll be playing more, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for this game! :)

First, thank you for taking the time to write the review and provide us with your suggestions. We are continuously working on fixing issues and stabilizing the game to give you the best possible experience. Recently, we released a patch that helped reduce rubberbanding, resolved various crashes, and included several bug fixes. We will certainly continue addressing issues related to performance and stability in the future.

Improving AI is also among our top priorities, intending to make it more life-like. You also mentioned tasks, which will undergo significant improvements and additions. As the game is still in its pre-alpha state, we have a long road ahead.

As for the teamkilling, we are aware of this issue and are exploring possible solutions. Meanwhile, if you ever experience this, please report the player responsible for friendly fire.

We're glad you see the game's potential and invite you to revisit the game, especially after the first major update we plan to release later this year.

I love how instead of getting ripped off by AAA studios for $80, we're now getting ripped off by indie devs for $50.
I'm sick to death of the EA model and won't be supporting it anymore because of games like this.
Paying a high price to beta test for a company that very likely will never release a proper end product is just bad news.

Time to return to the old school method of releasing complete games, made with passion and love.

They should just not allow teammates to loot your body unless you approve on death screen

I mean if it's faction based and you can clearly see the other faction players then it would be considered teamkilling and practically cheating. This is nothing like tarkov because in that game everyone that spawns into that match is an enemy there's no "supposed" allied players unless they are in your party beforehand. Which is also why I never understood the Scav+PMC escape zones. Nobody is going to those spots to leave. If I see someone I shoot them, there's no playing friendly.

That means they created an issue that no other game in this extraction shooter genre has. So they have to create a traitor type of punish mechanic or remove the faction idea and just have 1 big base where players just interact with all the npcs an stores.

Game's definitely shit but you clearly don't understand the point of PVP. Nobody is out to help you.

The devs stated that they want the mission descriptions to be ambiguous / real life, and I kinda like that, but otherwise good review.

TK has been addressed :) I do like the mission ideas though. That would be pretty cool

Why do most of the negative reviews come from people with degenerate weeb, furry, or effeminate profile pics? Get these genetic dead ends out of here!
