Amazing game. I love everything about it. If there's things you don't like about the way the game is played, you can change/disable like 90% of it in custom settings.

The devs are constantly working on it and releasing meaningful updates and eventually there's going to be multiplayer, which will be huge.

This game nails the feeling of being a small military force that's just been tapped in to help out a city. You have to act quickly to make some tactical decisions which can heavily impact how the game progresses, build up, then take back an infested city block by block.

I give this a 9/10 overall. You can easily tell if you're going to like this game or not in the two-hour refund window steam gives you.

Probably one of the more realistic train sims I've played. I really enjoy it, it's kind of a cozy game for me. You have to plan your routes, do the math on how much your train can haul and pick jobs/engines accordingly.

You can edit the settings to make them more realistic or arcade-y if you don't like certain aspects.

I'd recommend giving it a try. You can most definitely figure out if you like it or not in the 2 hour window steam gives you for a refund.

This is one of those games I would love to leave a neutral review on. I'm leaving it positive because I think it's on the better side of neutral, and my issues with the game are hopefully easy fixes. I also think this game is worth a look.

I think it's a great premise, but it's missing some features I think should be standard in RTS games by this point. Things like patrol orders, and queing waypoints. The UI could use some work, maybe a hotkey to toggle commander/FPS view and to auto select certain buildings and zoom to your HQ. The pathing isn't the best either. I had a sniper get stuck in the back of a truck, which honestly wasn't the worst thing ever.

But the reason I might be requesting a refund are balancing issues. In the short time I got to spend in this game before the refund window, I found that you can absolutely steamroll the buggy bois if you're humans. Not so much the other way around. The humans have guns on their buildings, and wiped out a fairly large push I threw at their base with minimal issues while I sent two squads and a handful of vics at the bugs and rolled them up. They were also wiping me out just by trickling in early units that could hit me from farther away than I could.

I think this could be rectified by making the advanced spawning buildings cheaper for the bugs, as I didn't have time to get the resources I needed to spawn anytime more than the T3 spawner/units. If the bugs are going to be squishy or melee only, they should be really cheap, or the buildings should be anyway. Or the human units should be a little squishier maybe.

I also fully admit, maybe I just suck with the bugs, but they were the major reason I wanted to play this game. I wish I had more time to really check out the full unit tree.

Graphics are good
Music is good
SFX are cool
Gameplay is about what you'd expect. I was a bit underwhelmed by the FPS aspect, but didn't really utilize it too much.

I'll definitely be checking this game out again in a year or so. I'll try to update my review then.

This game is a highly unpolished gem. I've been playing for about 6 months, and it really has come a long, long way. There's a single dev, and he works his ass off on this. He's responsive to the community, and has implemented a LOT of changes based off feedback.

If you'd like to have a say in what will end up being a great game, this is the chance to get in for the price of peanuts.

As far as people getting their keys revoked for trashing the game before now, those people had to sign an NDA in order to play the alpha and violated it.

This game is amazing and terrifying. Overall I think it balances fun with an accurate picture of how things were for the marines in Fallujah. It's definitely worth grabbing on sale.

I think this game is great, and I honestly don't get all the hate it's getting. There's nothing forcing you to fast travel everywhere. There's a ton to do, and I personally find it immersive and fun to play. The loading screens aren't that bad... It's not supposed to be a space-flight simulator, if you buy it looking for one you're going to be disappointed. The world, characters and NPCs feel alive and well fleshed out.

Overall I'd give this game a solid 8.5/10. The only reason it's not a 10 are because of some QoL things I've encountered and I wish perk progression was faster. I look forward to sinking more time into it and think it's money well spent. I also really look forward to what the modding community is going to do with it.
