Absolutely spectacular. I want to smash my head with a brick so I can forget everything about this game and play it again.
Great example of storytelling that would only work in a video game. Brought to life with a great soundtrack.
get this game.

Blasphemous is a really solid metroidvania with great art and story.

Souls/bloodborne fans will feel at home, though this game doesn't feel quite as crushing.
The atmosphere is great and the art is beautiful.
Well paced, solid mechanics.

Highly recommend if this at all interests you, even if you're doubting your abilities

10/10. There is a reason this game has won the most GOTY awards ever.

This game is a an excellent example of video games as a serious medium. The story is excellently written, with no obvious "good guy" or "bad but still pretty good guy" path. You must make choices (not only in dialogue) that will have actual effects later on. There is a ridiculous amount of content. None of the side quests feel like throwaway filler, and they each expand into their own little side story. Some of them have choices (or choosing to/not to do it) that will actually have an effect on the main story.
The combat is a real treat. I recommend playing on the highest or second highest difficulty, as it forces you to really learn the intricacies of the combat and gives a real satisfying challenge.
I cannot express just how much I love this game, partially because it really feels like CDPR really put a lot of love into making it.

This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excellent.
I bought this game on July 1, 2016. From then until July 25 this was the only game I played. It is incredibly addictive and has a huge amount of depth and complexity. You know how some complex games (like Dwarf Fortress, Kerbal Space Program) have loyal followings and fanbases that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in love with them? This is like that.
For an Early Access game it is incredibly polished. When my system doesn't work, I can safely assume that I set it up wrong rather than the game being buggy.
This game scratches an itch I've tried to scratch for years. Remember those Minecraft modpacks (Technic Pack, FTB, etc.) where you set up quarries and automated machines and pipes? I do. I really liked those, but I could only play for a short time before the problems really put me off. Chunk loading, interactions between mods, general bugginess, terrible performance, etc.
This game is like that, but built from the ground up to work cohesively and perform well, and Wube did a great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ job. The devs are extremely communicative on their website, and keep reworking systems and improving the game, fixing issues that the community hadn't even noticed yet. It deserves a spot with KSP and Prison Architect for great early access games with great devs.
Now I guess I should describe the game. The entire game revolves around automation. You mine, then build machines to mine. You craft inserters and transport belts, then set up machines to do it for you. You sink resources into making "science packs" to research new toys. More machines. Oil processing. Trains. Circuit networks. Logistic robots. There is so much to this game. I don't know why it's only $20.

TL;DR: Get this game and play it in one sitting. You will not regret it. This is a work of art. 95/100 does not come easily.

Plot: Two brothers set off on a journey to find a magical medicine in order to cure their very ill father. This journey throughout this fantastical world takes them to many places, many scenes and environments, and they meet many people in their attempt to find the magic cure.

I purchased this game as an afterthought. I had some extra cash and 2 bucks sale price is good for a game I heard was good. Where I heard that, or when, I have no idea. I started off and was immediately impressed at how fluid the controls were. Very simplistic. One analog stick and trigger for the younger brother, and another set for the older brother. I feel the game is best played with a controller, but I won't stop you from using KB + M.
Controls: 25/25

The play itself is quite linear. There is a set path to be taken to the set destination. I'm not going to detract many points for linear play, because they pull it off very well and it fits in with the story. The mechanics are fairly straightforward, one button for "Interact." The puzzles were towards the easier side and involved one the brothers doing independent things to advance on their journey. The gameplay was enjoyable and very smooth. Aside from the linearity, there were some 'side quests' that offered no actual benefit, but were fun and felt worth doing regardless.
Gameplay: 22/25

The graphics and art style are phenomenal. I was blown away by the detail of the enironment and the cutscenes. The plant life, the skies, the clouds, the mountains, the snow. Every bit was very impressive. I don't care if my dude is dangling from a rope several hunred feet in the air, I just really want to look at the mountains. It's not attempting to be hyper-realistic, it's more cartoony, and I feel that it pulls it off extraordinarily.
Graphics: 23/25

The atmosphere was really engrossing in this title. The music added so much to the tone and the entire soundtrack is amazinga adds so much to the experience. Another part of the atmosphere is the environmental aspects are the fauna and the various background elementS really add to the entire experience. I don't want to name any so as to dampen your experience stumbling upon them, but they are great.
Atmosphere: 25/25

So in conclusion, I very much enjoyed this game and I think that most everyone will. I strongly recommend that you buy it.
