A hyperpop time trial FPS fighting Cruelty squad esque homunculi that will get earworms stuck in your head.
When the combat flows, it's so awesome. Accomplishes the doom eternal style arena thing, but the fairy jams and visuals going on at the same time makes it feel truly unique. Splatoon the only comparison I got here that fits.
But it is a small indie dev teams first project that's got some teething issues.

If you're looking to play for the first time, rebind slam (ctrl) to something more comfy to press while moving in conjunction with shift (i did a side mouse button), and don't be afraid to rebind the "ability" keybinds, you won't need em. Maybe stick with normal difficulty until the ability to change it is implemented. Also you will see most of the cool stuff earlier on rather than later.
It's an egregious flaw that I'm not sure why a dev team so FPS literate would omit from their own, but difficulty changing mid playthrough is both something you can't do and the game does not warn you about, something I'll get back to later.

The main flaws I have with this game all boil down to being this small dev team's first project and trying to do a lot of things at once, so certain things were missed.
Weapon variety is lacking towards the mid/end of the game, by halfway through you're basically using the same guns from then until the end of the game, at least one more for crowd control would've been nice.
Enemies also suffer this in pacing, after e3 out of 5 no new enemies are introduced.

Difficulty is a bit weird, as an FPS lover Hard is mostly fun but the 2x health for enemies specifically seems to be a bit much early game, and especially for bosses which makes them a bit too tedious in length for my liking.
The feedback to the player for taking damage is non existent, there is no tutorial even mentioning you have health or how to regen it that I remember, so deaths feel a bit extra frustrating because you can never tell when you're taking damage or from what. The one cue you do have is the FOV dynamically zooming in which is too subtle and disorienting for me to notice/like.
Due to these factors bosses felt just a little much for my liking on hard, but otherwise levels are fun, which is where the option to change per level would be nice. At least speedrunning back to where I was on normal was fun!
Maybe fully customizable difficulty would be cool if the difficulty actually works the way the menu says, custom multipliers could be awesome.

I like how the narrative flows with the game mostly, Audvius is a great companion... phone? , but the vocal dialogs for memories you find drag on a bit longer than you'd expect everytime, and oddly they didn't expect you to keep moving forward while they play, so the audio gets really weird with just the dialog playing while you shoot. Old steam feedback suggests that most of the dialog used to stick you in place however, which makes sense.

Most nitpicky show of the small team trying several things is all the little systems that feel like they could use just a *bit* more. The two I'll pick on are parrying (can kinda just randomly hit key and get parries and waiting for shots to parry not a good use of time or you'll take too much damage), and dress up (at least let me rotate the shark please :] or maybe unlock another gun color?)

Spoilery good thing to point out, the synergy between nailgun and magic wand is awesome to stumble upon, but I only found it in normal diff as I was too stressed in hard difficulty to experiment.
Spoilery bad thing, the game gives you time stop and introduces it like it'll be a new mechanic from them on... then it's used for just one level. What an awful tease.... :(

Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna bump the OST and aesthetic of the game, but it's got some asterisks attached, particularity with general variety as the game goes on, but also it's pretty hard to find me a first indie dev game that doesn't have them..
Not a full goddess but definitely divine.
